We had a wonderful stay at Best Western City Sands. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was great for enjoying the beach or for golfing. The onsite restaurant was a real plus...good food with floor to ceiling window overlooking the golf course. The staff were helpful and there was free parking. Wish we could have stayed more than one night...would have been happy to be there for a week!

I stayed for 4 nights in room 208 for a golf break, and on the whole, my stay was satisfactory. My spacious room looked out onto the car park and main road, and was wonderfully cleaned and tidied daily, and there was everything I needed. Check in/out was easy, and the small TV had smart functions, so you can watch most channels, free WIFI. Parking can be a problem, as the club is pretty busy from early morning with golfers arriving and also nearby workers using the "free" car park to park and walk to work making parking spots tight. The hotel is within easy walking distance from eatery's, shops, the beach etc., so that's useful.My AC unit in the lounge (no AC in bedroom) was very noisy, and so I could'nt use it, so had to have the windows open which let road noise in. Food and drinks are not cheap, but I did receive a complimentary guest card which helped. Yes, I would stay here again.

Wow! We booked this last minute and enjoyed everything.
The room with amazing views. The restaurant and bar, the food was very nice. So close to the beach. We will definitely be back.

Stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was clean & spacious. Main bedroom with disability access ensuite. Bathroom floor tends to flood while having a shower and toilet needs to be equipped with a toilet bush.
The 2nd room has 2 single beds with 2 way bathroom. All beds were very comfortable.
Loungeroom contains a sofa bed and 4 not so comfortable seats.
Staff were lovely and the restaurant had a good selection of meals. Highly recommend the Chefs special-Grilled Seafood Pot. Beautifully cooked and presented.

Very disappointing experience. I booked via booking.com only to receive a call from the hotel 2 minutes later to say that I cannot stay at the hotel because my address was too close to the hotel and that it is hotel policy that unless I am staying for an extended period of time or there is a urgent reason I cannot stay at the hotel.
They then said that this is in the fine print on their website.

On further research Booking.com was the only platform that was offering the room at the rate every other platform was $60 or more. Is it possible that you cancelled my booking because you can get a better rate with someone else?

Either way both are very dismal excuses and extremely poor hospitably.

We arrived at this hotel on a very busy Saturday evening there was a wedding reception being held there. |The parking area is large but probably due to the wedding and being the golf course parking it was a little difficult. |The room was like a small apartment with fridge microwave and kettle etc, it was very tired looking and could definitely do with an upgrade, the shower has certainly seen better days but is serviceable. |Now having said all that the staff are truly amazing and very helpful.
