Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex is pleased to announce that their Visitor Centre and giftshop will be open over the Easter Long Weekend 15-18 April ONLY!

⭐️ Opening Times 10am to 3pm.

⭐️ Free entry.

❌ Deep Space Cafe will not be operating. They apologise for any inconvenience but welcome you to Bring Your Own food & refreshments.

🚗 Car parking available, no public transport to site.

Part One - Inside The CDSCC Visitor Centre

⭐️ learn about the role that Australia plays in the exploration of space.

⭐️ Views of the largest antenna complex in the southern hemisphere!

⭐️ See a piece of the Moon that's over 3.8 billion years old

⭐️ Little children can spot the Solar System hanging on the roof , watch videos of space in the smaller theatre room, photo op as an astronaut and take a break playing with the sensory cube boxes!

⭐️ Older children can check out spacecraft models and flown space hardware and memorabilia on display!

Very interesting place for kids to learn about space and moon. A rare rock from moon can be seen here. Not a big facility but if you have kids under 10 they may like it. Interestingly my mother who is around 65 years also liked the place as if she went back to her 5 years age!!

Decent amount of displays. Very informative. It's a bit of a distance from Canberra CBD. But overall it's a good few hours if you're into this stuff.

Nice place to visit while in Canberra though a bit of a drive out. Can be done as part of a loop going past Mount Stromlo and the Cotter dam on the way and Tidbinbilla on the way back.
Good display of Australian history with space exploration and research. Good for kids as well, they have a small play area outside.
There is a cafe on site though the coffees can be a bit hot and miss.
