Lovely place to visit to understand the history of Glenelg. Staff were super helpful in showing us walks we can do around the area and information when requested

Extremely helpful. We got there just before they closed but were in no rush for us to leave. Great information. Asked about public transport in to Adelaide and were given free seniors travel cards that we used on buses and trams. Well worth a visit!

The Centre is centrally and conveniently located in the Town Hall building on Glenelg beach. It was spacious and well-displayed, with various brochures and maps available. We were fortunate to be assisted by Geoffrey, who is very knowledgeable about locations and up-to-date local activities, yet with such a relaxing style, it made an excellent start to our visit during the first hour in Adelaide.

The staff was very kind and helpful. They really made us welcome and offered suggestions of things to do, how to get there.
We also enjoyed the adjoining museum.
Special thanks to the tall lady who worked there on Tuesday Oct 10 who was marvellous.

Wanted to give a shout out to volunteer Lesley McCauley who was so very helpful and knowledgeable about the area! she gave many great ideas of throngs to see and included some Australian history . The information center was wonderful place for visitors to learn more about the area and best things to see ! Thanks again Leslie!

I live in Holdfast Bay and am very proud of the area. I frequently have interstate and international visitors who I try to help with touristy type things - it is good for Glenelg and good for the State.
Today I was dumbfounded by the staff of the visitor centre when I called in to get some bus and tram timetables for a non-english speaking international visitor. I cannot fathom the stupidity of the staff who didn't want to let me have timetables because "people keep taking them and we haven't got many left - you should go to Adelaide Metro in the city and get some there"!!!
I suppose the staff are volunteers but being a volunteer is no excuse for stupidity. Perhaps visitors to Glenelg should be told to go to the Information Centre in Sydney or Melbourne or someplace where the staff see it as their job to actually help visitors.
