Definitely not a safe place to stay. I had over 200 dollars stolen off myself and my daughter. Ended up having to get the police involved. All my items also kept getting moved on me and things kept getting going through in the room that I was staying in when I wasn't around. They also go through your fridge and move things around and say that it's because of the build up of ice. Had to throw out food because of it because they would take things out of the freezer then it would get defrosted then they would put it back into the freezer. They have no regards when it comes to food safety for this reason. If you also stay here request that they only clean up your room when you're around because something fishy is going on at this hotel. I have to leave earlier then expected. Money stolen off a single mother and her 21 month old baby. Shame job. They also only room service your room once a week but have been in my room more then that that I know of because of everything being moved around could of atleast cleaned it up each time they came in the room.

The motel is a nice little upstairs downstairs apartment style setting with an onsite carpark for each room. The staff are lovely and welcoming and go out of their way to meet your needs and make sure you're comfortable.
The down and upside to this motel is if you're looking for an uninterrupted sleep you WON'T get it as it on the main highway going through Rockhampton but is so close to everything you'll need .

Firstly - I think I got the very last room in Rockhampton that night - I am so grateful they picked up the phone so late that night after 10pm) and I found somewhere to sleep that night.||Granted the price was much higher than normal - a local event had everything booked out and priced over double, nearly triple the normal rate. ||I'm reviewing this hotel at the price listed if I stayed tonight (weeknight - Thurs) with only 1hr notification at the current price showing online - instead of the Monday just past. I don't begrudge what I paid - was just grateful for a bed that night. But I wouldn't have paid that much on a regular planned booking.||--------||Very, very helpful staff - everyone I bumped into were so happy to help and also check in on me after checking in so late the night before after a 9+hr drive. (Massively slowed due to heavy rains, roadworks and traffic).||Very clean room, air con worked great, bed was super comfortable and the best pillows Ive seen in a long time. Spare pillows and blanket, tea and coffee, milk and water with the fridge.||Shower - water was hot with great pressure. As its right on the A1 Bruce highway - yes its noisey sometimes with road trains, but not a deal breaker.||A bit dated, but good on a budget and most importantly, clean. Its not fancy, but perfect for a good sleep and shower!

I don’t understand the hate for this place. Price quoted was what I paid with no extras. Yes the room was a bit tired but it was clean and well kept. The lady at the desk came in after hours to help us and greeted us with a smile, despite the lateness of our booking and arrival. People, what are you expecting. Pay Mercure prices if that’s what level you expect all places to be.

Very old, very outdated, horrible beds, lingering smells of mould, wet dog and smoke. Would not recommend unfortunately, especially for $200 a night we spent for this room.

I wouldn't even give them one star rating. accused me of lying and when she found out I wasn't lying she didn't even apologise. the walls and basin where dirty wouldn't recommend this motel to anybody
And there so called wifi is crap!
The room also stinks.

Little cockroaches in the basin/kitchen sink
Reminds me of a jail cell but just not as clean and the beds are worse.
The bed stinks the pillows are lumpy
Came into my room without even knocking!!
Looked through and touched all my stuff
Without asking!!
This Chinese lady is extremely rude
And felt very unwelcoming.

NEGATIVE REVIEW/ AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!….The female person behind the counter was horrendous. My Mum rang me distressed as she had travelled a long distance and decided to rest after a long day travelling. She payed for her room after which the female looked at her licence and said she didn’t believe she’d traveled so far as her licence stated that she only lives 1hr away. She then demanded $35 dollars cash for bond. Mum refused, the female then said she was calling the Manager, a conversation took place in her language, after which she requested $20, Mum again refused and demanded a refund. The female agreed but stated that she would be taking a $ 5 cancellation fee. Mum stated under no uncertain circumstances would she allow this and questioned the policy, she said “everyone in Rocky does it”. On hearing this I rang to tell this person how unacceptable her behaviour was, I was yelled at hysterically and told repeatedly I was a liar. She said “you can speak to the Manager”, when I agreed she then said the Manager wasn’t there. She stated that the motel has a fantastic star rating, denied asking for extra money (so now who’s the liar?) and after much hysteria from this cray cray she eventually hung up on me. Mum is waiting for her refund.

Our room was clean but in much need of a upgrade. Furniture very old n bed could do with replacing. Linda on reception was very friendly. The room had kettle with tea n coffee supplied along with biscuits. Had a toaster but not crockery or cutlery, but on asking Linda it was quickly supplied.
The air-conditioning was old n very noisy, but at least kept the room cool

From what we paid it was OK for 2 nights
