The staff are nice and parking is easily accessible. The room was clean with the exception of the absolutely unacceptable condition of the air conditioner. It was physically broken, doesn't cool well, looks like it has been there for over 20 years and not once has been cleaned as per the picture. My main issue however is the noise! The walls are a little thin so you can hear your neighbours even when they're talking at a normal volume... but that's nothing compared to the street noise.

The hotel sits on Musgrave Street - the main drag through Rockhampton - and when I say drag, I mean it. You WILL, without fail, hear people screaming up and down in their noisy cars from light to light, as well as trucks, ALL NIGHT. I stayed there on a weeknight so I can only imagine how much worse it is on the weekends. If you're not a heavy sleeper, it will be impossible to get any sleep and for that reason I can never stay in this hotel or any other on this street again.

We stayed on a stopover to Cairns from brissy. Beds were comfortable, had dinner at the on site restaurant. It was so yummy, very good size and price for the meal. Will def be back.

I stayed 1 nite with 2 kids. Rooms clean 👌. Nice beds. Big refurbished bathroom. Grounds clean and maintained. Pool will look great when it's repainted? It's big and clean until then. Some food options down the street and woollies across the road.

After my car broke down on the way to Cairns, the Manager let me into my room early and refunded me when my car's part arrived earlier than expected. She couldn't have been more kind.
Nice pool.
Recommended.

Pros:

The service was great. Checked in with us the day we were due to check-in. I advised we were stuck in Mackay and the lady arranged for our key to be in the locked box. Very friendly over the phone.

The location is great and surrounded by food outlets.

Large room and comfy enough beds. Decent for one night sleep.

Cons:

Unfortunately we found the sheer curtain had mould on it. Probably due a replacement.

The shower changed rapidly from cold to scolding hot. No in-between temperature.

Overall nice place for an overnight stay.
