The Worst Stay of My Life – DO NOT BOOK!

There's far too much to mention but this was a nightmare from start to finish. Despite emailing my arrival details months in advance, I never received the necessary codes for my 3 AM check-in. I had to chase down multiple contacts, only to be met with condescension and blatant gaslighting from the owner, Lee, who insisted he had sent them when he absolutely had not.

Upon entering the room, it was filthy—flat pillow, stained blanket crammed in a cupboard, musty smell, broken microwave, and only one working light out of four. The fridge and bathroom were both dirty and it was clear minimal effort was made to prepare it for guests.

The worst part? I accidentally locked myself out (Room 3), only to learn that Lee knew there was no backup key and hadn’t bothered to fix the issue. Instead of taking responsibility, he made me pay $150 for a locksmith—despite this exact issue happening to another guest just days earlier!

Lee is manipulative, unprofessional, and has no business running accommodations. This place is a disgrace, and no one should be subjected to such an awful experience. NEVER AGAIN!

Very disappointing overall. |There was no human interaction at check in or checkout. |Room was very basic and desperately needed maintenance (bad water leak), and when reported, the response was “put it in an email”. |We will definitely not be back.

Great service. We arrived at night, and the guy drove over to help us out, and gave us a room, after we had been driving all day. Very greatful. Definitely worth it. Park View Motel is a wonderful and very clean motel. It is a great value for its money.

Has youtube and netflix, and a microwave. I also liked how there are little lights over the bed and the light switches are near the bed. Great for reading. Didn't have to get up to switch the lights off. Park View had extremely comfy and cosy beds - I had a fantastic sleep. Absolutely the best motel.

Very good value! Simple motel room, very clean, comfy bed. Could hear neighbours if they were noisy. Excellent location close to town, very easy walking distance to eateries. Air con very effective in the QLD heat.

I'm a seasoned traveller and I travel all over Australia with work. I was first put into this motel a few years back by a client - and I wasn't happy. But I have to say this - after my 5th or 6th visit. The rooms are well kept and always clean. There is real value for money staying here. The management are always contactable and are extremely fast in responding to reasonable requests. I'm extremely happy to make this motel my first choice when working in Gladstone. It's not always about flash rooms and expensive room service. Sometimes it's about a nice, clean place to rest, clean sheets and comfy pillows and a shower with decent water pressure. You definitely get that here. Thanks to Trevor and the team at Park View. See you next visit.
