Passed by the Townsville visitor and information centre to get a street art trail walk map. As I was there I got some good recommendations for the weekend I was spending in Townsville. The art map itself wasn't all to bed in terms of extra info. However, exact positioning of street art could have been more specific.

Very helpful with our general area enquiries. Were able to answer our disabled parking questions. Not a lot of info available about the V8 or the event buses but they tried their best.

Went there last year. Thought although helpful, that it was in a stupid place. How are people with vans meant to get there? Most towns have them on the outskirts, with parking for Any type of vehicle. We'd like to get more info and maps but it's too difficult!
Do they want us here, or not?

Helpful and friendly staff ... but Townsville refuse to supply cycle trail information because 'its on their website'. The office is the most inaccessible and hidden information centre yet... off Flinders Street in a pedestrianised area ONLY accessible on foot (there is a ramp). No dedicated parking ... I had to drive around busy unfamiliar streets to score a park then fight with the pay booth to get the promised free 15 mins then find the office to ask my questions.
