My family of 6 booked for scuba diving for late January and then after getting canceled a few times with weather, which is completely understandable and then cyclone Alfred, we were so happy to finally got to go. We went out on the boat with the amazing staff! We had an incredible day just before we were getting to dive the team told us the water was too murky (which was appreciated as we don't want to dive if we can't see anything) yet, we still had a great swim & chilled day on cook island and many laughs. We were told to re book at no extra cost. Which we did. We finally went out on 17/05 we were treated with the same staff from the trip before, which made us feel at ease and now we knew expect. The dive experience was incredible, the team made us feel at ease. Encouraging & patient and knowing it was the first for all of us. Honestly the dive team were incredible I don't think we would've had a great as day out if it wasn't them! Very down to earth people who just loved being outside and teaching us what they know & love.
The communication from everyone with changing dates via email was easy also, they were very quick to respond and accommodating. THANKYOU, to you all! My family and I had the most wonderful time 😊

Last weekend, my friends and I had an incredible diving experience at Cook Island. Our guide, Christian, was amazing—knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. He led us through vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life, from colorful fish to sea turtles and even a sharks. Six months ago, I made the incredible decision to join Gold Coast Dive Center, and let me tell you, it felt like finding a treasure under the sea. This place isn’t just a school; it’s a world where you learn, enjoy, share with amazing people, and, best of all, find a family away from home.

For those of us who come from other countries, Gold Coast Dive Center is more than just a dive center—it’s a refuge. Here, you’re surrounded by incredible people like Indo, Jony, Diego, Mikel, and Maja, who aren’t just instructors but your greatest allies. They’re always there to support you, listen to your stories , and remind you that even though you’re thousands of miles away, you’re never alone.

And the best part? This feeling of family doesn’t stop at scheduled dives. Even when you don’t have a class planned, there’s always room to come back, learn something new, help out, and strengthen your confidence as a diver. Had a tough day? There’s nothing like diving into the water or practicing your skills to leave your worries behind and remind yourself of how incredible life is underwater.

Let’s talk about diving. Every dive is an epic adventure filled with laughter, lessons, and moments you just can’t make up.

I want to highlight a few of the instructors because if I talked about all of them, I’d never finish.

Jony, no matter how busy he is, will help you with anything you need.

Indo has a gift for making everything seem easy, even when you feel like a fish out of water (literally).

Diego inspires you with his practical advice and contagious passion for marine life.

Mikel has a special way of making you laugh while teaching, and

Maja teaches you the importance of every small detail.

I also love that when class ends, the fun doesn’t stop. We share stories, anecdotes, and that cup of coffee that tastes even better after a dive. Here, you don’t just become a diver; you become part of an international community that celebrates the sea and life itself.

If you’re looking for a place to learn, grow, have fun, and find a new family far from home, Gold Coast Dive Center is the perfect place. Because here, learning has no limits… or depth!

I recently completed the Open Water course and had a great experience.
I started out feeling pretty nervous, but the instructor, Mikel, made everything straightforward and manageable.
His calm and patient approach to teaching helped me feel at ease throughout the course. The team we had also made the whole experience really enjoyable.
If you’re considering it, I’d definitely recommend it 100%!

We went out with Chris and it was such a great experience. Chris explained everything really well, had everything organised and called out where the whales, turtles and dolphins were. The dolphins came to play alongside the boat and the turtles were cute popping up out of the water. I loved that we didn't have to swim out 300 miles to get to the best snorkelling area, we were so close, it was just the best experience! Loved the little detour to see the whales up closer too! Thanks for an awesome experience Chris!

Had the pleasure of going out on a beginner dive at Cook Island off Tweed Heads. My instructors Diago and Mario were fabulous, very patient , incredibly knowledgeable and comforting. It’s foreign to breath under water, it was quiet a confronting situation for me. They assured me that I could do it and helped me all the way. I ended up going down 5 metres and saw some amazing fish and turtles. Fabulous experience I highly recommend this company….. 6 stars
