This report aims to provide a comprehensive overview for prospective guests, outlining key features, location details, and pertinent information to aid in decision-making.

Location and Accessibility

Situated in the heart of Scone, New South Wales, the Royal Hotel Motel enjoys a central location within this historic rural town. Scone is renowned for its agricultural heritage, particularly its beef industry, and its proximity to the Hunter Valley wine region. The motel’s address, 119 Kelly Street, places it within easy reach of local shops, services, and attractions. Accessibility is generally considered good, with the town offering a range of transportation options. It’s situated close to the Scone Race Club and other sporting venues, making it a convenient base for visitors attending local events.

Accommodation Features

The motel primarily functions as a motel, providing a variety of rooms designed to cater to diverse traveler needs. Dining Options – A Culinary Highlight

Alongside accommodation, the Royal Hotel Motel operates a restaurant, which is frequently highlighted as a significant draw for visitors. Feedback suggests a dedication to quality ingredients and a willingness to accommodate specific dietary requests. It represents a key element of the motel's appeal, offering a convenient and enjoyable dining experience for guests and the wider community.

Guest Feedback and Observations – A Mixed Narrative

Analyzing the 210 reviews on Google My Business reveals a somewhat nuanced experience for guests. While many express satisfaction with the cleanliness of the communal bathrooms – specifically noting the absence of spiders and cockroaches – there have been isolated reports suggesting inconsistencies in the quality of the rooms, with some describing experiences that deviate significantly from expectations. The consistent praise for the cleanliness of the communal areas, including the bathrooms, indicates a strong focus on hygiene and maintenance. Furthermore, the feedback regarding the chef’s skill and versatility demonstrates a commitment to culinary excellence. The earlier, contradictory statement regarding ‘rancid’ conditions serves as a stark reminder of the potential for varied experiences, underlining the importance of careful consideration and potentially, direct communication with the motel prior to booking.

  • Motel Rooms: Providing comfortable accommodation with basic amenities.

However, prospective guests should be aware of the potentially varied experiences reported by other visitors. It is recommended to contact the motel directly to inquire about room conditions and specific amenities before confirming a reservation. Prioritizing direct communication and expressing any specific requirements can contribute to a more positive and tailored experience. Definitely a wonderful experience noone got food poisoning and the rooms were all so tidy. Best chef in the world he can cook up anything you want including burgers. The cleaners have done a wonderful job of keeping the extremely tidy communal bathrooms 10/10 there wernt any spiders or cockroaches anywhere in the building. And you don't have to prop open the windows with old shoes at all. Everything I've said is a lie this place is rancid

Pleased we read the reviews prior to our group’s arrival, as they gave us a fair idea of what to expect. They were bang on!
Positives = well located on the Main Street & staff were friendly. Cheap happy hour drinks….
But, the resturant, rooms & ablutions are absolutely appalling. You’ll definitely need earplugs to survive the Sat night DJ.

Beer was cold, service was lovely, room was hotter than he'll. Do NOT get room 21 in summer. No air-con, crappy fan and rooms location is snuggle wedged into a litte corner that gets NO BREEZE. Beds were comfy though. I would've slept really well, if I wasn't laying in a pool of my own sweat.
Oh! Water pressure is BRILLIANT. And they have a bath!!!
Just the room being hotter than hell was the down side.

No complaints. Comfortable and very clean motel room. Fans and air conditioning worked a treat and were much appreciated after a day of driving in forty plus temperatures.

Stayed at the Royal Hotel Moree for two nights, in a Family room. The Service was outstanding, rooms fresh, clean and modern with enough space and amenities for 4 people. We ate at the pub connected to the rooms, and all meals were very nice, plus they catered to my dietary needs. We highly recommend staying here, it also is in the centre of the town which is convenient.

No negative comments from me, needed a bed for the night, room was typical of an old pub, its old & knocked around but who cares, it had clean sheets, an extra blanket in the drawer, plenty of hot water for the shower. A nice young bloke booked me in. Meal was fine. That's all I need. Cheap in this day & age at $50/night.
