I left my fully restored $100k 21 window ragtop kombi for minor engine work at Perry's. He said it would take 2 weeks.

It turned into 4 months.

Perry left my van outside of his shop an entire wet and humid summer without my knowledge.

The door was left ajar and the ragtop not fully closed.

What was a brand new smelling interior changed to a damp smell, ruining my door panels and headliner.

The all up cost to repair is $30k
It currently lives under a tarp.

Insurance does not cover neglect.
Perry's responsibility for duty and care was non existent.

In 40 years of restoring classic cars, I've never had anything close to this happen too me.

The last thing I ever would have expected is to write this review.

It brings me no satisfaction at all.

The engine was overheating he fixed it very quick didn't even charge anything for it because it was only cooling liquid missing.

My experience with Penfolds was exceptional. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I recently had an issue with the tailgate on my VW Transporter which another "VW specialist" in Newcastle was unable to repair. Penfolds diagnosed the issue and ordered the necessary part on the Friday, I returned and the boys fitted it in less than an hour on the Monday. Exceptional service and great value for money!

Perry has been my moto-guru for nearly 30 years, providing advice for my own DIY or fixing what is beyond my capabilities. His knowledge on almost any vehicle is extraordinary and his approach as a service provider is old school. He charges what he quotes and if extra things need doing he’ll discuss before proceeding. I cannot recommend him enough.

The most reliable, trustworthy, time efficient and fantastic mechanic and team around! I have been sending my volkswagen beetle their for the last 2 years, and always recieve the highest quality care in the quickest amount of time possible! Called last minute for a prepurchase inspection. They went out of their way to fit us in last minute and gave wonderful advice. Then didn’t charge us a cent because the car was rubbish. How could it get any better!
