I recently had the pleasure of diving with Jason and Alize from Sydney Dive Charters and cannot recommend them highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the team was professional, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. Their attention to safety and detail during the pre-dive checks and briefing was outstanding — everything was thorough, well-explained.

The crew’s knowledge of the local dive sites was top-tier. Each location was well-chosen based on conditions and experience levels, and their insights into the marine life and underwater features made the dives even more memorable. You can really tell they’re passionate about what they do and committed to providing an exceptional experience.

Incredible diving in Sydney!
The team is friendly, professional, and safety oriented with small group sizes.
It is absolutely worth going with this dive shop to avoid the crowds!
They didn't skimp on the scuba gear either, the equipment is pristine and you can tell these folks really care.
They even rent warm fleece-lined pieces to wear under your wetsuit; this is a life-saver if you tend to get cold!

My recent experience with this dive center has unfortunately been the worst I've had, despite diving in different parts of the world. The stark difference lies in the alarming lack of attention and consideration for the client.

Although booking and payment are managed through their online platform, subsequent email communication is unacceptably poor. Responses are delayed, if not nonexistent, even after payment has been made. This initial lack of communication already foreshadowed a worrying lack of concern for the client.

A clear example of this neglect was my inquiry about the possibility of diving with grey nurse sharks. I traveled from Bali to Australia specifically with this expectation in mind, and despite specifically inquiring before my trip, not only did I not see any, but the center didn't even bother to offer an explanation or apology for not fulfilling what was implicitly offered as a possibility. This omission denotes a lack of interest in the client's motivations and expectations. The negligence in customer service manifested itself even more severely during my first dive. After fixing a problem with my mask during the descent, I found myself completely alone at the bottom. I was abandoned by the group and had to ascend without enjoying the dive. This incident demonstrated a worrying lack of supervision and care for the divers' well-being. The absence of a subsequent apology or explanation for this serious error further underscores the lack of accountability and the low value they place on the customer experience.

On my only dive they forced me to surface with 120 bar. Because my partner didn't have enough air left and they don't have enough guides for an dive with so many clients.

Although the instructors may possess the technical expertise necessary for the dives, the management of the center as a business reveals a worrying prioritization of economic profit over customer satisfaction and safety. The overall impression is that the focus is exclusively on the financial transaction, with no genuine concern for the needs, expectations, or even the safety of those who rely on their services.

In conclusion, my experience with this dive center was characterized by an alarming lack of concern for the client, evidenced by poor communication, a failure to meet specific expectations, and, most seriously, negligent supervision during dives. I would strongly recommend seeking alternatives where client care and attention are a real priority and not a mere formality.

Travelled to Sydney from the UK and wanted to experience the under water delights and all I can say is it did not disappoint.
I found Sydney dive charters to be personable, professional and above all else SAFE.
Small, well organised groups with well maintained gear and boat.
Choosing a dive charter can be a minefield but these guys made everything easy from start to finish.

Diving wasn't in my itinerary but I had a free day and there was a slot in one of the weekday diving schedule. So I grabbed it and had the best time! Felt like a VIP, with Sir Jason as by dive buddy. Booking was easy and the equipment for hire was top notch. Total had 2 shore dives in Shelly Beach, both about an hour long, and lots of remaining air to spare! And even it was my first time winter diving (I'm used to tropical waters), it was tolerable after some time thanks to 7mm wetsuits!

One of the best dives I have ever been on! Jason and his crew were amazing and really helpful with everything. They made a decision that morning to change sites because of the swell, and he took us to an amazing site with a lot of sharks and other wildlife. When I get back to Sydney, the first thing I do will be to book multiple more dives with them. 10/10 Experience!
