We have just returned from a 14 day Australia New Zealand cruise on the Westerdam. Service food accomodation and facilities were all excellent! Staff in all areas (except for one of the wait staff who must have been having a bad day) were fabulous. Effort made to remember names and make one feel special!
We are not experienced cruisers but felt that the shore time was unnecessarily short. Our previous experience had late sailings which enables one to get the most from every port.

Wonderful experience both onboard and when booking, even during the pandemic, where Holland America refunded my cruise with no delay or issues, I look forward to continuing my cruising with them for sure.

Always good to deal with. The operators understand your enquiry and are qualified to deal with everything I have needed. They have been excellent in dealing with the pandemic and have offered many desirable options after our holiday was cancelled indefinitely. We will surely be cruising with HAL as soon as they are operational again. We have all felt they actually care about us.

I asked Holland America if the Doctor on board could dress a wound I have daily, and how much it would be? Simple question.
11 days later NO RESPONSE. Followed up with them at least 5 times. Still no response. Called there offices here in Australia and US, and there response is "we are waiting for the appropriate dept. to get back to us"
We have saved for 4 years for this trip, and we still dont know if we will be going or not due to the lack response from Holland America.
I requested the Australian Region Manager to escalate to his peers, he refused. He reckons they will get back to us the day before we fly out. I doubt it.
This will be the second cruise I have taken with Holland America,
1st time in Neptune Suite, this time in Signature Suite, regardless to say next time I take a cruise I will be thinking very carefully if I choose Holland America again. Based upon this experience I will not be choosing them.

Had problems with accessing mariner accounts for myself and my wife. Rang Sydney office from New Zealand twice regarding this. Both times the staff were most helpful and understanding and resolved issues promptly.
