Friendly staff, happy to help. Not as busy as other places which is good. Were able to help me my partner and kids get their photos done when we had came just before closing. So grateful they even gave my boys a little treat afterwards.

Very very disappointed in the service today.
I came in to collect a package on behalf of my cousin and the lady that served me was so rude.
I understand that I was unable to collect it for her. But instead of offering a solution to her not being able to come in during the opening hours the lady was rude, short and quite frankly dismissive. People need to work in this economy and not having empathy for someone’s situation is terrible.

Gave my son permission to collect a parcel while I'm away. They refused to give it to him with his ID and barcode for collection. Ridiculous as we a re both listed at the same address. What is wrong with you people.

If there was a ‘Sub-Zero’ rating — for chilly, cold, lacking in empathy and customer service — I would more than gladly give it. 1 Star only because I had to in order to post this (Scale: 1 Star = 5 icicle rating).

Here we are, Christmas around the corner, and Australia Post Taylors Lakes refuses to hand us our Christmas gift order on the basis of a stupid protocol they could easily still have met, but who refused to because they could not care enough to ‘come off-script’.

I place an order with Telstra (I am a co-account operator with my wife); the parcel is addressed to my wife; my wife turns up with all her ID in check; the licence on the form is mine, however. OK. I called Australia Post Taylors Lakes and confirmed my identity.

No. Sorry. We have to ship these back to Telstra. YOU (me, the Customer) have to ring Telstra and get them to change the licence to your wife’s so we can verify it is her.

But I have my licence, account details—I can verify I co-own the account with my wife, if you just—

No. YOU need to ring Telstra and get them to ...

And so it went. Like a recording. Robotic. No gift, Merry Christmas, sucks to be you.

I must admit by this point I was becoming a little chilly myself. I’ve experienced other similar situations in the past, but reason, logic, and a little ingenuity (not to mention compassion) usually won out. For example, the other day my wife and I went to the Australian Passport Office. We picked up our passports but they would not hand us our adult daughter’s passport (she was at work and we hoped to save her a trip to the City). Fair enough. It’s a passport, we accepted it. But, the kind person said to us, if you can get your daughter to email us her signed consent in a photographed declaration, we would be able to collect it as proxies. And my daughter did, and we went home with our daughter’s passport.

Now I ask you. Australia Post Taylors Lakes: No Christmas gift for YOU, despite all valid Identification available for you to provide; vs Australian Govt.: signed declaration alongside photo ID by the owner to declare consent—all in order, here you are, enjoy your holiday and have a Merry Christmas.
