Absolutetly disgusting and unjustified.
In the poultry section to purchase small tray of chicken breast fillets only to discover prices on packaging are all deceivingly marked. See images below.
4x packs expiry date 20/5
1x priced at 10kg and others at $14.50
And packs expiry date 23/5
priced at $13kg..
Honestly, everyone pay attention when shopping.

I purchased a Woolworths-branded RSPCA-approved whole chicken from this store and was shocked to discover after roasting it that the breast meat was green inside—something I’ve since learned may be linked to Green Muscle Disease. I had already eaten some before realising, which caused significant distress.

I want to be clear: I don’t believe this reflects on the Watervale store or its staff, who have always been friendly and helpful. This is a broader concern with Woolworths' quality control and product standards.

While I have contacted Woolworths directly, their idea of a resolution was to offer a $20 gift card. Given the seriousness of the issue, this feels like a cheap gesture. I have responded to them, but it seems they’ve sent the voucher and washed their hands of the situation. As we all know, supermarket prices are constantly rising, product sizes are shrinking, and now the quality clearly isn’t matching the price.

What makes this more disturbing is that the product was RSPCA-approved—a label I had trusted to mean higher welfare and quality. From my recent experience, not only is that not the case, it’s arguably much worse.

I’m sharing this review in the hope that it gains more attention and that someone with more authority within Woolworths takes this seriously—because so far, it hasn’t felt that way.

On behave of my daughter and i, I would like to thank the Watervale team for our complementary box of roses chocolate. We were absolutely stoked.
What made it even more special was a hand written note attached to the chocolates.
Thank you Watervale Team, you are all wonderful people.ā¤ļø

The team would benefit from enhanced training and a stronger focus on customer service standards.

There's a a young lady that works in self checkout and wears a black scarf over her head. I was scanning some items and I couldn't afford one of the items so she decides to yell in front of everyone "DO YOU WANT THIS OR NOT!?" Everyone in the line waiting was staring at me and I felt so humiliated. Woolworths Watervale you need to do better and fire this worker she has treated customers negatively in the past and I've seen it, she usually works in the afternoons or evenings because of that I'm taking my business somewhere else. So humiliating

Have witnessed this a few times here. Female staff member on self serve checkout this afternoon, Gina, so damn arrogant. No customer service skills whatsoever. The arrogance on the woman is unbelievable. Then stands back, and instead of watching over customers, she's on her mobile phone. Completely oblivious to noticing a customer needing assistance. The attitude she dishes up is appalling. Like its a huge effort to do work.

Ah, the local shopping centre, a place where commerce and chaos dance in a delicate ballet of consumerism, and a place where you're might get stabbed - so check CS square 2 min. up the road. KIDDING! (Although, once upon a time, that'd have been truth).

Upon my recent pilgrimage to this temple of retail at Watervale Woollies (one L or two?), I was struck by an overwhelming sense of change—a metamorphosis, if you will, from the caterpillar of yesteryear to the slightly less ugly caterpillar of today. Gone are the days of dodging questionable characters - and produce - in dimly lit corridors; now, one can peruse the polished aisles with only the mildest fear of personal harm.

The car park, that labyrinthine purgatory where hopes and dreams go to die, remains untouched by the hands of progress. It's still the vehicular equivalent of a gladiatorial arena, where the strongest—or luckiest—emerge victorious with a parking spot. Inside, however, the atmosphere has shifted. The air is charged with a newfound positivity, as if the collective mood of shoppers has been lifted by the simple act of not being mugged in the foyer (is that what you'd call the area outside of Woolies and the other shops?).

What sorcery has been wrought to bring about such change? It's hard to say. Perhaps the management finally realised that a happy shopper is a spending shopper, or maybe they just got a great deal on bulk-buying ambiance. Whatever the case, the result is a shopping experience that feels less like a survival challenge and more like an actual leisure activity.

In conclusion, the shopping centre has indeed changed for the better. It's cleaner, brighter, and exudes a charm that was previously as absent as a free checkout line on Black Friday at some other place, just not here. While it may not be the promised land of shopping just yet, it's certainly taken a step in the right direction. So, here's to the shopping centre—may your sales be high and your rent-a-cops friendly. And to the car park, may you one day find your own slice of redemption. Until then, I'll keep my battle armor ready, just in case.
