Checked in for a planned motorcycle run from Jonathan at Motorcycle Rental Melbourne AUSTRALIA and I can report it was a top notch experience of process and rental. Jon was able to provide for me from the planned 500 to a 1250GS similar to my 1200 Triumph explorer. Made all the difference for a 3 day ride down the Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay and up to the Grampian Mtns.
Jon is very engaged with the ride and rental. He made sure the trip was planned beforehand with practical advise for time on road, stops and time of day (dusk and critters on road/safety)
He prepares the bike well and goes over the condition of bike, scapes, etc and final checkout of the mechanical and controls. Thorough and well appreciated. It was a memorable trip and I recommend to any rider Jonathan and Melbourne Motorcycle Rental and especially the route I took to get a taste.

I rented a Suzuki DR650 for the weekend, and the experience couldn’t have been better.

From the very beginning, Jonathan was super friendly and helpful. He responded to my inquiry right away, gave me all the info I needed, and answered all my questions. Even though it was the busiest time of the year, and most places had no bikes left, he helped me find the perfect ride for my plans.

You can tell Jonathan really takes great care of his motorcycles and gear. Everything was spotless and in top condition.

When I arrived to pick up the bike, Jonathan was incredibly welcoming and even went the extra mile to add a phone mount for me and make sure I had all the right gear. He helped me get set up quickly and made sure everything was secure and comfortable.

What really stood out were the tips he gave me not just about the bike and staying safe, but also about some of the best routes to take. I followed his suggestions and had an unforgettable ride.

Jonathon was absolutely lovely. Easy to work with. Helpful tourist suggestions for the ride. Bikes were clean. Nice selection of helmets, gloves, jacket and accessories for the bike like storage boxes. Explained the functions very thoroughly and was even flexible on the return time for me. Tried to rent a bike at a different place first, but they had none available, so referred me to Jonathan. Glad they did. I rented a GS and a helmet for a weekend to ride the Great Ocean Road. Jonathan was super communicative throughout. At pick up, he walked me through all the key functions of the bike and made sure I had no open questions. Bike was in great condition, and really fun to ride. Jonathan was also willing to be flexible around the return time, which I appreciated. Overall a great experience. I don’t think there are enough words (or at least enough good ones) to describe my experience with Jonathan. I was in Australia for the WIMA Rally and, after weeks of back-and-forth with him, I ended up borrowing a bike from someone else. Classic me. But when that plan fell through last minute, Jonathan came to the rescue and got me sorted on the shiny new 1300.

The pickup was seamless: I got a ride to the location, had a detailed walkthrough of the bike (Jonathan’s thoroughness deserves its own applause), signed the paperwork, and hit the road.

The bike was flawless during the rally, but what really stood out was how Jonathan handled another attendee’s small spill. He showed up, sorted the bike, helped other clients, and still managed to be friendly, calm, and efficient. Honestly, it was the smoothest rental experience anyone had during the rally—and that’s saying something when you’re dealing with a group of riders!

All the bikes were top-notch, and the prices were fantastic. I racked up several hundred kilometers on that trip, and next time I’m back, I’ll absolutely be calling up “Mr. Moo” (ask him about the name—it’s worth it). Heh
