Great staff, best parmi in Victoria we've had so far. Cooked after hours just to feed us

As soon as we opened the door we were overwhelmed with a dog barking like crazy in a room to the to the left, also overwhelmed with the smell of mould. Service wasn't very good, didn't have soup, and was very rude when telling me ( we don't make it cause we don't get enough customers) fair enough but be a bit nicer when dealing with new customers, staff weren't very welcoming at all. Food was extremely overpriced. My husband's chicken burger looked like it was cooked in old oil.
No drink or dessert is offered with kid's meals like in most pubs.
Had to buy individual drinks because they don't offer jugs. The ice was freezer burnt..
We had to wait for the coffee machine to be turned on, though it was 1 hour into service.
We had seated ourselves and had to ask for cutlery after our meals arrived.
I understand it's a small town and you need to make a living but please a smile doesn't cost anything. And bad customer service is not the best thing to have when you're struggling for customers.

The worst experience I've ever had! The woman (asian lady guessing was the owner) who served our table was the rudest piece of work I've ever experienced! Imagine being rude to your customers!! 2 hour wait for a Vegan burger that was advertised as a Vegan burger that arrived in a Brioche Bun! Chips were coated in sugar and stone cold. 1/4 of our table was waiting over 2 hours for their food including two elderly folk and not even a sorry from the rude horrible back chatting woman!! Our table of 20 couldn't sit together as there was 17 of us! Are you kidding me!!!
The worst pub I've set foot it!!

Cheap $12 lunch menu daily with smorgasbord of salads and vegetables included. Full menu still available. Lovely food. Has a bottle shop attached. Not sure what Pub or accommodation is like as I've never used those parts of the facility.

Lovely country pub with great meals, don't change a thing. Been twice now and the salmon tonight was the best meal I've had in Stawell all year. Great work!

This is the first time we've had dinner at the restaurant since Brian and Taff took over the Nash. The food was lovely and the addition of the salad and vegetable bar is awesome. I ordered the crumbed whiting and it was perfect but I was also very envious of my friend's lamb shank which she let me taste. We also had a lovely Cape Jaffa Sauvignon Blanc which I would definitely have again.
Brian looked after us in the restaurant and he was friendly and helpful.
