Only 20 minutes from Ballarat . The lake is a wonderful place to camp and enjoy the water . It is full atm so there is a lot of water with shade right on the waters edge .There are plenty of fish ( carp ) but still good fun to catch . The main camp area is a bit crowded but there is more camp areas to the east that are a bit difficult to access with a van but definitely worth the effort. There are two sets of long drop toilets one at each end but bring your own water and take your rubbish home .

A picturesque free camping spot around the lake. Very busy for Easter with caravans, tents, power boats and jet skis while we were there overnight. Has only one long drop toilet block but with disability access. BYO toilet paper! Sandy and very dusty due to holiday traffic on dirt roads though camp grounds. Would come again but at a less busy time

A fair bit of used toilet paper and human disposes around, a little noisy due to having some long term residence living there, but our stay of 2 nights in a tent was good..
