I panicked a bit on arrival. For someone with mobility issues, the thought of a flight of stairs fills me with dread! But no need for stress on that front. There is an elevator - just from the ground to the first floor! Who does that! Tick!
The lower floor is the car park mostly by the look of it, and the first floor is the rooms: built around a courtyard which enclosed a large area to relax or to meet with a group. There is also a pool in this courtyard.
The motel is situated on a main road with a servo next door, but neither were a concern.
The room was great. Very spacious for a room for two. We weren’t tripping over each other as you do sometimes. The bathroom carried on the spacious theme. The shower recess was a revelation. So spacious. If you’ve brought a shower chair with you there is heaps of room.
The only downside is noise echoing and bouncing around the courtyard. In a perfect world everyone would be courteous about the noise they make in a motel. There was obviously a group travelling together who were still calling to each other come midnight. (God bless the boss who might have foreseen this eventuality and put us down the end!). But honestly, it was like an episode of The Waltons. (Sorry, showing my age!). Good night, Sue Ellen. Good night John Boy. Aaargh! Go to sleep already!
Fortunately they didn’t start too early the next morning. I know such inconsideration is not the fault of the motel, but maybe a look at the acoustics might be a good idea down the track. Oh and to the parents who were up early to hit the road, your child might be very sweet, but letting them tear up and down outside the rooms is not!
Venting aside, if all I have to grizzle about is room acoustics then I’m doing pretty well.
I don’t know where the reviews grumping about cleanliness came from. Our room was neat as a pin, and sparkling clean.
Shower pressure was great, and so nice to be able to plug in a phone at bedside and not on the other side of the room.
This will be my go-to for Bendigo visits in the future. Highly recommend.

Really disappointed!!!!|Room smelt and was obvious bed had not been changed. (I got sheets of linen and made myself). Bed had big dip, was ok as I was alone and could lay in dip. Couch - sank to floor no support in it. Was offered another room but figured standard was low.|Shower flooded bathroom and had to step into deep spa… dangerous. Spa needed cleaning. Pictures showed cooked breakfast but they don’t do cooked breakfast. Feel totally ripped off. Maybe they should spend some money on upgrades and CLEANING

Totally ripped off. $171 for a Room that smelt, bed had a big dip in it, couch had no springs so when you sat on it you sank in the seat. Don't think the bed had been changed. When I complained I was offered another room but fair chance that room would be not cleaned also as obviously the standard is low. I ended up getting sheet off the linen trolley that is left outside (damp night air) and made the bed with clean sheets. The shower is into a deep spa that you have to climb into and water splashes all over the side and floor......high risk fall and the spa looked like it hadn't been cleaned. Website has pictures of a cooked breakfast but they don't do cooked breakfasts... I didn't even get given milk!!!!! Really noisy guests talking outside late at night. TOTALLY RIPPED OFF!!!!! Don't stay here.

I am beyond frustrated with my experience at this hotel. I booked a room two months ago via their website, fully expecting everything to go smoothly. However, just 4 days before my check-in, I received a call from the receptionist informing me that they had to cancel my booking. The explanation was " sorry we've booked your room twice". How on earth can a computer/IT system get that wrong? To make matters worse, they didn’t even bother to help me find alternative accommodation!

It’s incredibly unprofessional to cancel on a guest so close to their arrival date, especially without any effort to resolve the situation. I had already made plans and now had to scramble to find somewhere else to stay, which caused a lot of unnecessary stress.
I won’t be booking here again, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before trusting them with your reservation. If they can cancel on you with zero notice, what else can you expect? Terrible service.

Room was fine. Dated, but spacious. Would have liked room tidy/restock each day when we left the room (perks of staying at a hotel) - no one attended over the weekend of our 5 night stay. Microwave, spa & balcony are great additions as well as the free parking.

As usual our room was very nice. A roomy bathroom with plenty of bench space. A comfortable bed.
Having an undercover car park is great and also a lift is great to get to the 1st floor.
We have stayed here many times.

Really disappointed with this hotel. We booked based on previous wotif ratings. ||When we arrived we were given a key to room 9 (family room as booked). The room had not been serviced and was still dirty as left by previous guests. Allocated another room. Key did not work. Manager used pass key to get in. ||Not a family room, just 2 beds and a sofa bed. Asked if child could sleep on sofa and we reluctantly said yes but that we were in a rush to get to a wedding and that room service would need to make the bed up. ||On return to room at 9pm, bed had not been made up. Called manager who sent lady up who had no idea how to manage, using seat cushions as pillows until we asked for proper pillows. ||Outside areas were looked tired and a little dirty, kettle inside room was just disgustingly old and dirty so we didn’t use it.||Only positive was that it was quiet and car parking was free. ||Poorly managed with no attention to guests. I would not recommend this. $267 for the one night. No apologies from managers/reception.

Intially booked and paid for a spa bath room but the one we were given only had a shower and no bath. The lovely young lady at reception quickly changed the room to one we had booked . Very nice clean and tidy room with quality furnishings all round.| Only thing wrong was it had an old tv (apparently they are in there process of upgrading) and this one couldnt get channels 7 or 9. It was also not a smart tv and so didn't have any internet options that we are used to those days. However the Crystal Inn does have under cover parking and a lift up to the first floor plus a swimming pool. Overall I'd give this place a strong 9 out of 10 .. a better tv would see me giving it a 10
