Had lunch at ASAP Room and tried their Pad Thai and Pho. The Pho was delicious - hearty, flavourful & generously portioned. The Pad Thai however, was underwhelming, served on a paper plate and lacking in flavour. Also tried their warm Thai milk tea, which was strangely sour. I’d give their Banh Mi a shot next time.

Definitely a hidden gem located in the atrium of a building, so glad I found it. Cracker of a banh mi - the mushroom and tofu. The iced Thai milk tea was super yum too. People running the place seemed to be genuinely passionate about the place and it shows in the menu and service. 100% going back again!

REVIEW:
Asap room is inside another building that is part of a massive foyer. Under a roof, there's still plenty of light filtering from the top to give you that "outside" feeling without making customers be subject to the chaotic Melbourne weather. ☀

Their Pad Kaprao is a generous serving!
I wasn't able to finish the rice, but enjoyed all the garlic and thai chilli flavours.
✔ The service is really kind - offering to customize your spice level - and the smattering of cucumbers keeps things refreshing.
✖ Pork belly skin was a little bit too hard for me.
I would come back to try some of their other dishes!

🤗 I love the fun sticker decor. It's distinctive and making it pictures of faces adds a lot of whimsical humour. I think I've even seen the van driving around Melbourne!! 🚃

Highly recommend the Thai milk tea and the pork belly stick (you can get them either as a box of 5 or with noodles)! We were so impressed by the taste. The cake was nice too and so was the soy Matcha (with honey). really loved the vibes and design of the place, plus the warmth of the owner!!

Totally recommending this place!
Good place to eat, drink, and chill ( with the board games available in the cafe)

Remember to try their Thai milk tea, brasied pork rice, and their basil rice(slightly spicy for people who love spices!)
