Coming from the UK we first found this jewel back in 2020 and were delighted to have been able to return this year. The setting is idyllic, with kangaroos, wallabies, deer and emus literally on your doorstep, not to mention the cheeky chickens who love a few breadcrumbs. We stayed in the Redgum Cottage both times and loved the rustic feel. Being able to sit on the porch with a glass of red, at the end of a day's trekking up to the Pinnacle, and watch the wildlife was wonderful. The accommodation was very comfortable, spacious and well appointed, with everything you could need for self-catering, should you wish. We can't speak too highly of the whole setup.

We spent 3 nights in the Stone Cottage and loved the tranquil location, the upstairs bedroom with the view over tree tops, the open wood fire and the written history of all the materials used in the unique construction of the cottage. Our hosts were warm, welcoming and checked in with us re: if we needed anyhting - including additional firewood. Thanks again. Lee & Mark

Our family had a wonderful holiday at Grampians Pioneer Cottages. We stayed in the Redbrick Cottage which was just perfect for us. It had everything we needed and actually made travelling with small children relaxing. ||We loved going for walks on the serene property where we saw many kangaroos (and even some deer). The lively chickens kept us entertained and our kids loved feeding them of a morning. We loved this place so much we will definitely be back for more holidays.

We stayed at the Stone cottage with Family from France and 3 small kids and absolutely loved it! Owners were wonderful friendly and accommodating and the place is just stunning! Lots of visits from kangaroos deers and the resident chickens made the kids especially happy! Place was clean and cosy and the views just amazing. Thank you so much for a wonderful family getaway.

This is our third stay at the cottages and our second in Red Gum. What keeps us coming back is the tranquility, the wildlife, the proximity to all the attractions in the area, and Corinne and Aidan's care and attention to detail.||The Red Gum cottage is just lovely. Well preserved historical elements and as rustic as you would expect a log cabin to be but with many comfortable touches: electric blankets, plentiful kindling and wood for the fire, cosy bedding and towels, a hot shower, and a well equipped kitchen. There's even a washing machine should you need it, and a big TV if you get tired of looking out of the windows.||We love sitting on the verandah at dawn and dusk watching the kangaroos and birds and making a fuss of the chooks when they visit. In the evening we often play cards or read a book in front of the fire. The cabin is by no means "off grid" (the WIFI in the cabin is fast) but as a couple who work in IT, to us the cabin offers the option to disconnect a bit rather than starting at screens all the time!||If you can bring yourself to leave the cabin, there are many beautiful spots to visit. MacKenzie Falls is a must and the surrounding trails offer something for everyone, with the caveat that if you like things peaceful go early on a weekday. Food-wise, in Halls Gap itself, Paper Scissors Rock is a favourite and the Spirit of Punjab is excellent too. We tend to self-cater for at least half of our meals as many places in Halls Gap require an advance booking.||It goes without saying that we will be back! Thanks again Corinne and Aidan.

I have to say, this is the best cabin we’ve stayed in during our trip to Australia! Seeing wildlife right in front of the cabin made me feel like a child again, full of love for nature. A huge thank you to the host for keeping this place and its surroundings so well-maintained.

I spent three days at Grampians Pioneer Cottages with my work team of six as a location for our end of year strategy retreat together. The Cottages were the perfect location for us to have some quality time together with stunning views, amazing wildlife, beautiful walks nearby and well equipped, clean cottages. We were particularly grateful for the air conditioning during a heatwave. I wholeheartedly recommend the Cottages and wouldn't hesitate to come back again next time I'm in the Grampians.

Stone Cottage Pomonal was so cosy we loved it. Perfect bedding arrangements for our family and so well equiped . We had our South Korean friends with us who just loved wildlife at the front door it was amazing for them to see. The view of the mountains and the peaceful surroundings. Thankyou Aidan & Corinne
