This has been the find of the Australia trip so far. Fantastic accommodation. The facilities are excellent and the location in the forest is so peaceful and quiet. We went up to McKenzie falls and then some of the look out points for a trip . Would recommend both. Halls Gap has all the things you need but is small and quaint. Worth the drive to get here.

This place is amazing. Close to Hall’s Gap and the amazing hikes around it, yet totally secluded in the woods, surrounded by wallabies, kangaroos, cockatoos and all manner of other bird life. ||The cabin was beautiful and the windows make you feel like you are staying in nature, not just next to it. Everything is catered for and the breakfast that was supplied was generous and tasty.||The real highlight though was the shower, with a floor to ceiling window - it was like showering outside.

5- absolutely beautiful accomodation and well appointed cabins. From our cabin we have nature, the Grampians, outdoor spa and a very tranquil place to stay. Nothing was too much of a hassle for the owners. We have been recommended to these cabins and will recommend to all we know. Amazing experience!

The most fantastic cabin in the most beautiful surroundings. Very nicely furnished and having everything you need.|A really comfortable bed and a gas barbecue. We felt pampered by the hostess and can highly recommend the wonderful place.

What an experience! Everything was great! the room (apartment) was fabulous. The location couldn't be better, the garden was extra! I saw some kangaroos passing by in the garden. So many birds! The host was so friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend this B&B to everyone!

Unfortunately, we were unable to stay at the pre-booked DULC cabins (31 January to 02 February 2025) due to the Bush Fires in the Grampians. We had travelled from Adelaide to Lyndoch, Barossa valley for a two-night stay. Our next booked stop was at DULC in the Grampians. Whilst at the Lyndoch accommodation a message appeared on the TV news stating, “Emergency Warning - Leave Immediately inside Halls Gap Watch & Act warning zone”. This was a shock for us as we had not been made aware of any issues. We started to search the internet for more information and the extent of the situation. Based on the information we found we were very concerned that in travelling to the Grampians we would be in harms way. We were on holiday; we did not know the area, the people or the protocols for any evacuations. I suffer from Asthma and any Bush Fire smoke would have been very detrimental to my health. Based on the news reports the risk of the Bush Fires moving into the area was very alarming.
In summary we decided that the situation in the Grampians was not safe for us, and we arranged with the Travel company alternative accommodation in Mount Gambier. It should be noted that whilst in Mount Gambier the smoke from the Grampian fires descended on the area making it difficult for me to breathe. No doubt the smoke situation in the Grampians would have been much, much worse.
We hope to return to Australia early next year with a plan to stay in the Grampians so we can at last appreciate the beauty of the area.
Finally, our thoughts are for the people of the Grampians who have endured so much with the Bush Fires and for the Firefighters who put their lives at risk to protect others.

FYI I have given DULC cabins 5 stars on this review as from what I can see on the internet the location and accommodation etc. look excellent and it would be harsh to give DULC a low star rating for the situation we found ourselves in.

Wish I could rate it higher because the service was so good. The location was stunning. The Accommodation was beautiful, just not practical. Bedroom was stuffy on a 10c night. So, we had to put the ac on. Then, the blinds are so thin that the sun wakes you up at dawn. The stairs are annoying to trampus up and down in the night to visit the loo, because the ensuite is downstairs from the room. Those things aside, we had a great stay.

We absolutely have loved staying here and would highly recommend it if you like being immersed in nature and wildlife. The room had everything we needed and wanted. The owners Janene & Matt were absolutely lovely & went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Can’t rate them or this place highly enough, you’ll just have to come & see for yourself!
