Our visit to the Southern Grampian cottages was every thing we hoped for and more .. the setting at the foot of the towering Mt Abrupt was beautiful |Our cottage .. (there were 4 of us ) was delightful.. Spotlessly clean and equipped with absolutely everything you could need.. The linen and towels were top class .. Tracey the manager was so welcoming and helpful Thankyou Tracey

Lovely surrounds and friendly an helpful staff made it an excellent stay. The cottage was very comfortable. Dunkeld is at the Southern gateway of the Grampian mountains and a great base - it offers lots of hiking opportunities, bird and wildlife viewing, etc.

My home away from home.... |Where do I start... I could rave on and on for days! | |I am just blown away by the tranquility of Southern Grampians Cottages. |From my very first stay in winter and again in spring, the customer service has always been impeccable. |Both Anna (Owner of SGC) and Tracey (Caretaker of SGC) have gone above and beyond to make my stay welcome and beyond comfortable. Trace is super friendly and the personal greeting after check in is so warm and welcoming. A heart of gold! | |So much is provided and the cost of stay per night is very affordable in the current times. Not only did the hospitality draw me back, but the affordability was a big winner. | |Both times I have stayed at SGC I’ve been gifted the opportunity of checking in early (extremely generous and gracious – my holidays got to start even earlier! 😛) | |The REAL woodfire inside the cottages is a delectable winner in winter. Not many places these days keep wood fire heaters in use, so this is yet another reason I will continue to stay at SGC. | |Winter was a gorgeous stay with the woodfire and spring was just as gorgeous with the sun on the deck every morning, the gorgeous garden view from the Studio Spa Cottage. (Wannon #6) It was lovely to see all the flowers and trees blooming and the birds. I was even lucky to see a kangaroo & joey in tow. | |I appreciated so much how QUIET it is at SGC. Every guest was respectful and mindful and not once was my peace disturbed either of my stays. The Cottages seem to be well soundproofed – at least the studio spa cottage with a neighbor on the other side of the stone wall. Wannon is also situated on the very back of the block. While it is away from the main road, you will encounter a few people driving and walking along the back dirt road next to Wannon. This didn't bother me.| |If you ever have any questions or need any help with anything don’t be afraid to send Trace a text as she is more than willing to help! For example: I ran out of gas for the BBQ and sent Trace a quick text and despite cleaning the cottages she stopped what she was doing to get some assistance for me quickly and promptly so I could continue with making brunch! | |I’ve stayed twice now and I will endeavor to return again and again. <3 My little oasis.

I could not recommend this place more. From the moment we made our booking, everything was just perfection. We had personal texts with all the info we needed. We came later than expected and arrived at a clean, warm and cozy log cabin. We sought "local" info with Tracey about unique hikes and knowing our circumstances, offered us a late checkout without even asking. Its location is incredible, a short walk to town yet far enough off the main roads giving us the peace and quiet we were seeking. Anna was lovely to deal with on the phone and caretaker Tracey was willing to do anything to make our stay most enjoyable. We will definitely be back. Hayley & Todd 🙂

Tranquil, great cottages, great location. Very clean. Saw kangaroos and possums on the property.|Beautiful gardens, Tracey was extremely friendly and helpful. Even set up the gazebo for us with BBQ, plates, cutlery and glasses.|Will definitely be back.

We stayed for two nights and had such a lovely time here. Picturesque setting and the grounds are beautifully cared for. The cottages were well kept and equipped in a really thoughtful way, inside and out. There was enough in the area to keep us entertained and fed nicely. Communication and welcome from the team was great. Would really recommend!

outhern Grampians Cottages was the accommodation that surprised us the most postively during our three weeks in Australia. High standard in the house, including a whirlpool bath. Very nice staff. Very well kept and nice garden with kangaroos jumping around sometimes. The accommodation is highly recommended by us!
