We had an incredible experience on our 2.5-hour boat cruise with Wanderer Adventures! Our crew, Howie and Nash, were not only highly knowledgeable but also absolutely hilarious—they kept us entertained the entire time with their great energy and fun commentary.

The tour took us to some truly breathtaking sights, including the southernmost point of the Australian mainland, a lively seal colony, and an unforgettable close-up look at the stunning Skull Rock. The boat was comfortable, the views were spectacular, and the entire journey felt both informative and adventurous.

Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area—it’s a perfect mix of natural beauty, wildlife, and a great crew that clearly love what they do!

This is amazing and a must if you go to Wilson’s Prom. We met at the open air cinema and were given rain coats and a brief description of our tour. We then walked down to Tidal River beach as a large group where we were able to put on the gorgeous long red raincoats and go up the stairs to get on the boats/cars. If you like a bumpy adventure sit at the front, if you prefer a smoother ride sit towards the back.
We were able to see dolphins, eagles (and their gigantic nest), and soooo many seals. The dolphins enjoy swimming near the boats and the seals will literally come up towards the boats and almost laugh at you.
The staff were amazing too. Full of knowledge about the area, happy to answer any questions or simply chat. They’re also happy to play photographer as we saw the most southern part of Victoria, looked at the changing colours of the rocks, and the rock formations, plus Skull Island - an amazing rock that is a cave and jaw dropping.
We went in mid April in the afternoon, so it was getting a little cool by the end of our journey but it’s better to be cold than hot on a boat of your seasick. You may want to take a beanie headband or cap that won’t blow off in the wind. They did offer ginger tablets before hand if you are unsure if you will get seasick.
When you get off the boats at the end, you simply hand back the rain coat and walk yourself back to your car or campsite.
I loved seeing the boats returning back to their base while sitting in the car. They were driving down the main road in the campsite and waving to everybody.
We honestly had an amazing tour and are seriously thinking about another holiday so we can look at the whale watching tour or all day tour.
Thanks for a great time team!

This was my second time with this cruise and the experience was amazing. My favorite part is skull rock and the cave looking part inside the rock looks someting out of a fairy tale story. It's one of my favorite rocks... ❤️❤️❤️ We also saw a lot of seals and they were so cute 🥰

10/10 experience! my partner and I were so glad we booked this cruise, it was very exciting and enjoyable, guides Damien were very friendly and kind, checking on us throughout the cruise. my highlight of the cruise was definitely seeing the seals, there were so many of them, some having a blast playing in the water, we could watch them all day.
the cruise can get quite fast, for people prone to seasickness they provided ginger pills, for someone prone to seasick I sat at the back of the boat ( where there is less movement) and was fine with help of dimenhydranate.
So glad we went!

After visiting Wilsons Prom for many years, we finally did something different! Amazing experience and felt very safe during the cruise. Everyone had a blast. Should try at least once! Sit on the left side for better view.

Great experience - fun and informative! Well run operation. Made for a fabulous day out. This is a good multi generational trip out. The speed and spray is quite exhilarating.

We got the seats at the back, you can't hear the guide, but you get great views. The ponchos are substantial and fairly necessary on the back row. Tie everything down or dont bring it. You will have fun, but DONT BE LATE. The departure time we were on the boat moving down the sand, you will not be able to catch up.

There is a store and chip store on site, and the queues are as big as the boats empty.

Park as you arrive at Tidal River, it's easier than driving to the centre and then looking for a spot. Allow time, it was ok at 10 15 am. on Easter weekend but looked much busier in the afternoon.

Good value for money, it seemed expensive when we booked but in hindsight it felt more than reasonable.

Breathtaking Experience at Wilsons Promontory

The Wilsons Promontory Cruise is an absolute must-do for anyone visiting Victoria. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The crew was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, providing fascinating insights into the area’s history, geology, and wildlife throughout the journey. My two toddlers had a great time.

The scenery is nothing short of spectacular. Sailing through the pristine waters of Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park, we were treated to panoramic views of rugged granite cliffs, secluded coves, and lush coastal vegetation. Highlights included the dramatic Skull Rock, crystal-clear beaches, and sightings of seals, and a variety of seabirds/Eagles.

The boat itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views. For those interested in photography or nature, this cruise offers countless opportunities to capture stunning shots.

Whether you’re a nature lover, an adventure seeker, or simply looking for a peaceful escape, the Wilsons Promontory Cruise delivers an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

It was an amazing experience altogether!
From communication to on boat experience, everything was on point. Amphibious Boats start from the beach, which itself is an interesting experience. The operators are quite strict about the rules (seat belts/ life jackets etc.), which is a plus, and they also try to cater all practical special requests (back pain etc.). The boat gives the thrill of speed boats, when in full throttle. They have good knowledge regarding the area and their presentation is quite humorous and enjoyable. You will be able to see some native wildlife, and the southern point of Victoria, with some historical background of the lighthouse and now submerged Bassian Plain. We were lucky to see lots of dolphins, which were spotted by one of the boats, and being communicated to other 2.
Dolphins were swimming very close to the boats, felt like they were enjoying the company of the boats.
Overall the whole package is value for money, considering the location, communication, safety, condition of the boats, guides etc. We loved it, and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Thank you Wilson promontory cruise!
