My friend and I had the pleasure of meeting Kyle, one of the information officers at the centre. What a joy his company was! He was full of so much information and so many ideas for our stay in Ballarat. He was knowledgeable about the local area and surrounds and full of insider knowledge about best places to eat and drink.
Definitely make the visitors centre your first stop on your visit to Ballarat. Thanks so much Kyle!

Went to visit on a Wednesday afternoon.
The weather was not the best, but the locals were friendly and welcoming.

Everyone was enjoying a nice walk, coffee and taking photos.

Very relaxing place to visit.

Tips for parking, drive to the nearest station, all day free parking there. 10 minutes walk to town, which is not bad at all!!!

A wonderful city with some great buildings, points of interest and restaurants/breweries!

There's some interesting artwork scattered around and generally plenty of parking (at least when we visited). There's a few monuments / status, and the information centre (although closed at the time of visiting) had some useful information in the window.
