We've had a mix of experiences since moving in as tenants. While there were some issues and frustrations along the way, the leasing team at Jellis Craig generally responded and handled things properly. The end-of-lease process went smoothly, which we appreciated. Overall, they’ve been better than some other real estate agents we’ve dealt with in the past.

In particular my dealings with Emma, Alicia and Grace have been extremely positive with fantastic communication and a friendly and honest approach. In the end Alicia leased out my property within two weeks and provided updates after each inspection. Highly recommend Jellis Craig Northcote - you won't be disappointed.

Literally the worst agency you can rent through, as renters you don't have a choice but the lack of poor communication from this agency is incredible. I had the property manager Cassidy she was good to attend to issues but i wanted to leave it got extremely messy passed around to another property manager alicia who never picks up and doesn't know how to communicate let know does dodgy things like without money and take rent from both renters if we didn't pick this up she would have pocketed the money. Went onto the complaints person Nicole she talks over you like no tomorrow, don't know how she does complain when she struggles to listen. As renters you don't get a choice who your rental agent is but if you can avoid Jellis Criag i would 100% suggest so

Have had the pleasure of being a renter through Jellis Craig the last 2 years. Our property manager Spiro has been amazing. He has responded in a timely manner, been receptive and made having repairs easy. Could not ask for a better real estate company.

As a property owner I haven't been happy with Jellis Craig's property management services. They haven't been required to do much over the 20 month period that I used them for but, when I did need their assistance, my property manager was slow to respond and did not have the expected knowledge and experience to act as a reasonable guide for me. I would not use their services again.

Regarding communication, I would often need to call across multiple days before getting a callback and, at the end of my engagement with them, it took me 6 weeks to get a (unsatisfactory) response to an email and repeated phone calls made over the intervening period.

Regarding their expected knowledge and experience, when asked questions about specific rental regulations my property manager would direct me and my wife to find out this information ourselves. We did this for the notice to vacate period, which we ascertained to be 60 days when wanting to move into our property ourselves. Our property manager informed me that this term had actually been recently extended to 90 days in regulations, which I agreed would be acceptable. When my property manager eventually issued the notice to vacate to my tenants they used a 60 day period without consulting with me, placing pressure on me to co-ordinate an interstate move, including lining up work. When questioning them on why the period was 60, instead of 90 days, their exact response in an email was "Oh correct that's right. I go by what VCAT has popped on there. Lets leave this as is as that's what the notice period gave me i cant change the date on the notice unless its putting the date forward." - there was no thought given to the issues this would create for me, which is representative of other calls that were made by my property manager along the way.
