always great service here, food is very good but can vary, not always the same
overall good quality of food: had the pumpkin soup, wasn’t expecting the spices but was a delicious flavour, cheesy garlic bread is a must every time ! and the burger was pretty good, chips SO good

First time there..was lovely! Sabine was at the counter and was fantastic all the way!! She is a keeper! Everyone very friendly..nice ‘vibe’. We enjoyed our food..the schnitzel crumbing was a tad over cooked and the salad had a really bad looking leaf in…first of all I thought it was just the salad dressing but it was a leaf that should’ve been in the compost. Don’t be put off by what i said because the 4 of us really enjoyed our food..care has to be taken with the salad pls. Again..thank you Sabine for excellent service!! Lovely friendly helpful young lady! We shall be back! Good place for dinner - do give it a try..we are sure the salad leaf was mere oversight during a busy time.. 👏

Staff were kind enough to accommodate us although the kitchen was almost closing, 2pm on a Thursday. We enjoyed the lamb souvlaki, the chocolate moose and the fish. Well presented and delicate

The ambience was great with the fireplace and music. Wanted to try their kangaroo fillet though which was unavailable. Really did not appreciate the portion size for the price.

Ample parking is available behind the hotel.

Had a great day at this hotel listening to Blues jam. Nice lunch. The only issue was that 1 beer for a 5 hour stay they had run out of zero beer. Disappointing.

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. There were 6 of us. Four of our meals arrived at the table at the same time. The other 2 meals did not. We had completely finished our meals before the last 2 arrived. My girlfriend ordered the egg plant parma.. one very thin, small slice of egg plant with a bit of topping, a few chips and some vegetables. A very small meal for the price. When we mentioned this to the waitresses, that she had waited ages for her meal and then the size of the meal was very disappointing and very bad value, she just said I will tell the Chief, . If we go out together, we want to eat together. She then ordered a sticky date pudding ( no offer of it being complimentary after the disastrous meal). What arrived was a tiny sticky date pudding ( we think the tiny ones that come from the supermarket and a decent amount of ice cream that was so full of ice that she couldn't eat it. The rest of the meals on the table were quite nice. It was just how the whole situation was
handled that was annoying.....soooo won't be back.

A really little 'diamond in the rough' is the best way to describe this Ballarat pub. Checked some reviews beforehand and decided to give it a go for dinner and glad we did. Food was 'first class', service was 'above and beyond', staff were friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome and enhance the overall experience. Great atmosphere, a genuine 'local community pub' feel with plenty of local history offerings. Whilst resident on the other side of town, this will become 'our local' based on this evenings experience . Thanks !!!

It's a real pub with a pool table and lounge instead of pokies. Great staff, cold drinks, nice atmosphere, good location and plenty of parking. Porterhouse Steak Sanga with chips was excellent. We'll be back and we'll send others too.
