The coffee was fabulous! Had the Korean fried chicken burger and schnitzel wrap - both were so yum. The staff was also very friendly and nice. Such a welcoming little place. Would definitely come again!

5/5 stars for the Hicksborough Store & Cafe. I came here with a large group of us (9 people including a baby). The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. I was very pleased with the customer service, the efficiency of staff, the price of meals and the generous portion sizes.

I ordered a chicken schnitzel wrap with chips, and some others ordered the American beef burger, the chicken bao buns (photos included) and Korean chicken salad.

Thank you so much to Hicksborough Cafe for the amazing hospitality and delicious food. A wonderful addition to Wonthaggi, and I will definitely come here again when I’m visiting the town.

This food here is worth stopping for. Been going here for years...always quality Korean fusion food with loads of flavour. Big breakky is a lot...something got lost in translation when we ordered them sunny side up ! Be sure to book ahead for brunch as there's limited seating in Winter.They do awesome takeaway too.

Always a favourite. Love the Buddha bowl and have developed a taste for the gluten free banana bread - very yummy and the best I've ever had. The iced coffee isn't bad also and they don't skimp on the ice-cream. The atmosphere out the back is great - in a natural garden.

Having been here a number of times in the past with great experiences, today was a letdown. The $10 bacon and egg roll was dry, overcooked, and bland. It was a roll, a strip of bacon, and an egg, that was it. No condiments or garnish.

My partner had the scrambled eggs on toast. The serve was small in size, bulked with rocket lettuce. Pleasingly, the side of mushrooms was very good. However, wasn't too much bigger than a table spoon for $6. It wasn't awful, but not overly special.

Hot drinks were served after the meals came out, which wasn't a good start to our late breakfast either.

There was one staff member with red hair who was excellent. He was working hard whilst the others meandered.

We walked out, both suspecting that there must be new owners running the store now. Chalk and cheese to our prior experiences, unfortunately.

This is the best burger I've ever had, and the chicken schnitzel is also top-notch. The location of the restaurant is great, right by the main road, and there's a quiet backyard as well. The dining experience was fantastic.

Good location and offers inside and outside dining areas. The food is great, although portions are just okay. Very busy, so the quality of food and atmosphere is a big plus here. Plenty of parking space outside.
