We decided to try The Astor’s Thursday Steak Night. “Steak Nights” can sometimes be an opportunity for pubs to serve up a poor quality piece of meat however The Astor was very different.
The steak was good quality and very nicely cooked with a generous serve of fresh salad and great chips.- and all for $17 plus the cost of a drink.
The staff were very friendly as well.

I had my 50th party last night and can say I highly recommended having a function here. Staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much for them, food was great. Many of my guests also have said how nice the staff were to.

Nice place and staff but terrible food. The steak sandwich was terrible, the only small piece of beef almost burned and chips soft and old. Unfortunately really bad experience

Excellent little gem here. Staff fantastic and really helpful. Meals great and good local beers with Happy Hour pricing. Yep, go here, won't disappoint.

Great friendly pub that has been revamped with taste. Service us excellent with staff accomadating where they can. Food was good and portion sizes ample. The only thing that was a bit off-putting was that certain items on the menu were served basic. Example Snitty / Parmy came with chips and gravey. If you require salad or vegetables, these incured an added cost.

Love my $10 steak meal here-even when very busy the steak was excellent-love the place, staff excellent -very highly recommend. Just an add, moved back to Melbourne over 3 years ago, and nothing so far has beat the $10 steak I used to get, miss it to this day 😊
Back to one of our favourites after moving back to Melbourne, 3 1/2 yrs ago. Menu has changed, but i had my Rump Steak, absolutely worth the wait-cooked perfectly 😊

Lovely place to chill and drink and eat if you like.
Didn’t try the food yet but it’s in the plan over the next few days.
Staff are very nice and some good info for a first timer/s to Adelaide lol.
Ie the area here and wine tours.
Free wifi and there’s a happy hour too with good prices.

Brilliant menu choices, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Well worth a visit if stopping through the city or needing a quick catch up, always the go to for a delicious feed and a nice cold drink.
