The owner is the very best part of this place. Really friendly and helpful without being overbearing.
The room was clean and tidy. Exactly what I needed. I loved that there were enough plugs for charging my gear.
The exterior of the motel is clean and tidy and parking etc is easy. The motel was easy to find and while it was on a relatively main road I did not notice the traffic noise at all.
The price was very affordable.

What a surprise!
We needed to stay close to some friends and this little motel was a few metres down the road.
Neat as a pin and very clean. Kind of retro as the tiles in the bathroom reminded me of the mosaics of the 50s. All very clean.
Was amazed to find the small fridge had a separate freezer. This was great as it fitted a bag of ice (which I bought from the roadhouse across the road). The roadhouse had the cheapest fuel around (as per my fuel app) and also sold takeaway food.
The motel even had a great camp kitchen with oven and cooktop plus bbq. Also there was a room where you could sit and watch tv.
The owner generously upgraded my room as I had mistakenly booked a single instead of a double.
We would definitely stay here again.

I cannot rate this motel and the hotel owner highly enough. We only booked the day before and lucky enough got 2 rooms, we didn't know what to expect but couldn't be happier with our nights' accommodation. The room had air conditioner and ceiling fan; the bed was very comfortable. If we needed anything we just asked, and he provided. The pool was great. The price was excellent. Anyone wanting to go look at all the floods this is a great place to stay and base yourself.

This place is amazing. Great priced rooms that were so clean. The owner is so friendly. He stood round chatting with us all the time. The pool was so nice. I was in there quite a bit. So peaceful. Bbq and cooking facilities were awesome. Really enjoyed our two night stay. I would definitely recommend this place to others and I think I'll be back. Best kept secret of the river land.

Glossop Motel is definitely the most affordable, clean & friendly accommodation options in the Riverland. Although small, the room was well-maintained and had all that you need. Parking spaces were undercover & was generally pretty quiet during the night. Owner was fantastic, friendly bloke who was happy to help with anything. 100% recommend and will definitely be back when travelling the riverland.

My daughter her parner and I stay here in the weekend and I have stayed in a fair few apartments, cabins and other sorts of accommodation and this motel is the cleanest I have ever seen. The rooms are old but has everything you need, comfortable bed, shower, air-conditioned, tv, swimming pool, bbq, laundry, shared kitchen with a full stove and tv room with dvds and books. It is not a holiday resort but if you want somewhere to stay central in the riverland this is the place, very affordable. 5 minutes from both Barmera and Berri. Cliff the owner is lovely and so friendy if we needed anything just ask. Huge thumbs up for this place.
