After several disappointing attempts to have a blood test, I fronted up today and all was done promptly and with great staff contact. Helpful and fun to talk to.I was also impressed as I watched staff deal with a difficult situation. Well done.

Since 2020 I’ve been taking my husband to Barmerah Medical and the staff are fantastic. A special mention about Aleisha who’s a nurse. She’s such a wonderful down to earth bubbly personality and after being attended to by her we always leave with a smile on our faces. She makes us feel like we matter.

Our family has made countless visits with all sorts of medical problems over the decades.
Could not fault the Medical treatment we have received for our family, I have heard no one ever complain about any of the staff or doctors, it is world class Medical treatment.

I was disappointed by the other one star review based on having to wait.....
“you people aren't the only one's that have stuff to do and should be able to charge you people for making us wait”
If you want sorter waiting time lobbying our GOVERNMENT, there funding is the key to how long we wait for Medical treatment. We should be more supportive of our local Doctors

Yes we have also waited a little over 30 minutes on time in Barmera , given we had no prior appointment till that day that is very impressive.
When in ADELAIDE we found the large commercial medical practices take on average over an hour waiting time from the appointment time, when an appointment is made on the same day. Our preferred private GP’s in Adelaide is rated very highly, yet you can not get in the same day, sometimes you can get an appointment in a day or two. Waiting time varies from appointment time plus 15 minutes in the morning to over a hour in the afternoon sometimes.
HOSPITALS are another scale again, 5 hours is a common waiting time to see a Doctor at the RAH.

Waiting time dose not really matter, would you like to be rushed through your medical appointment -that could save your life, because a Doctor has to run on time because someone wants some paperwork signed. No one wants to wait in any medical center, it is the quality of medical care that really matters. Almost as importantly, there is a Barmera Medical Center think about it, if we had to have trip to Berri which is over 30 minutes,or Waikerie is over an hour. When we get all local Barmera service, try to say thank you, it will cost you nothing and may even help reduce waiting times in the future, as everyone knows people who are cheered up/happy tend to work better/faster.

Sorry to have to do this. Dropped into the surgery today to have my GP sign 3 PATs forms for transport reinbursement for treatment in Adelaide by a surgeon. My GP referred me to this surgeon. I was told that I would need to make an appointment to see my GP for him to sign these applications. Bearing in mind he referred me initially. An appointment could not be made for 3 weeks. The practice does not bulk bill so I would lose the gap off the reinbursement from the PATs scheme.
This practice is totally money orientated with a very sterile unfriendly atmosphere.

Absolute disgrace. Never said anything about needing the covid vaccination while making an appointment. Went there and they required me to sit outside and wanted to conduct my appointment also outside without any privacy even though I required a physical examination. Will be taking my concerns elsewhere from now on.
