We absolutely love coming to the markets. We are trying to pull ourselves away from the major supermarkets to support local farmers THEY NEED IT.

very much tossing up getting a membership so we can visit regularly, support our farmers and local producers.

I loved the coffee and Portuguese tarts, olive oil and bread. We took home some veggies and meat for our dinner. As well as some alpaca jerky for a snack πŸ˜‹

Get there around 7:30-7:45am for the best parks and you can head straight to the favourite stalls.
Amazing place! Lots to purchase, eat, drink and take home. Not just for your weekly shop β˜ΊοΈπŸ’—βœ¨

Highly recommended - top shelf farmers market. So good the local quality restaurants get thier choice items from here (reminded me of the 100ft Journey movie). Definatly worth a visit, you wont regret bringing your bags :0). Enjoyed a really nice coffe and egg & bacon roll, we got some local craft cider and exotic fruit, veg, cheese etc. Its a keeper!

First time back for a while. Plenty of space and stalls well spaced but lost some of its bustling charm and not much extra action this week … entertainment, Demos etc. A few old favourites missing and need another coffee outlet. Perhaps it will perk up a bit when the warmer weather comes

What a great market! So many great local produce stalls to choose from. From fresh produce, great coffee, fresh bread and pastries, milk, crepes, freshly squeezed juices, freshly cut flowers, cakes and of course all of the breakfast and bbq stalls!

Beautiful market. You can feel real local farmer's market at its best. The market focused on local fresh products and giving me variety of options to choose from. We've got fabulous olive oil from Peninsula Providore and very happy with our choice! Highly recommended!

The atmosphere is good. It's not very big, but there are various types and it's well-organized. But compared to other places, the price seems a little expensive. Great option to spend the morning hours on Saturday

We went with friends for the first time last Saturday 12th October 2019. It is on every 2nd Saturday of each month. It was a beautiful sunny day and there were a lot of people there but there was plenty of car parking available.
My advice - take more than one carry bag as I filled mine up quickly and had to make my husband run back to the car to unload and bring back an extra carry bag. All the produce is grown on the Fleurieu Peninsula and is so fresh. We bought various vegetables and the strawberries were super super fresh. I bought some fig & ginger jam for my mum who loved it and the apricot jam I bought for myself was jammed packed full of fruit. I couldn't get enough of the delicious cheeses and the smell of fresh bread was amazing. I bought dried pears that were plump and sweet.
We left our husbands to go look for the almond stall which we were told about. They were selling 4 bags for $10 - all different flavours (even wasabi). We taste tested most of them and I wound up buying 8 bags !!! When I caught up with my husband (who never buys anything when we are out) I had to laugh as he had bought a large sultana grape vine in a pot, 2 large pots of honey, some beer from the Shifty Lizard Brewing company (love that name) and a hammer.... He loves that hammer !! It goes to show there is something for everyone....
After about 2 hours of wandering around, taste testing and buying, we sat down at a table and chairs and had a coffee and ate some cake that we had bought.
The stallholders are all friendly and love to talk to you about their produce. The market is so alive with music and people having fun. I loved seeing people walking around with their dogs. I met some gorgeous dogs, got puppy kisses and gave pats and cuddles.
It was a fantastic way to spend a Saturday morning and I can't wait to go back and do it all over again.
