Went for a pub meal tonight. Saw chicken snitz and also garlic prawns. Asked if we could have a combo - immediate response ‘Yes’ ! Absolutely scrumptious! Snitz not overcooked - prawns fab! Congrats - will be definitely back!!

We called in yesterday afternoon after travelling most of the day. Cold beers, happy hour. Tom -the barman and owner- was very welcoming. We stayed for a meal. My chicken schnitzel was absolutely delicious. Piping hot with a very generous serving of fantastic crispy fries also hot hot. Hubby had the calamari which was also terrific. The chef was busy prepping and packing food packages for the firefighters for the CFA members to pick up. Now that’s what community is all about. Keep kicking goals Tom and fam.

My colleague and I had the pleasure of dining twice on two
evenings whilst undertaking some work in Casterton.
Great meals and personable, friendly staff. Well done looking after SES workers and giving a much needed room to someone who lost everything in the major weather event yesterday.
Reflects the approach of the hotel, owners and staff that we experienced when we were there.

The young man who greeted us could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. The pub put on meals on the Sunday night because nothing else was available in town. What a smart move!
Our meals were fresh, tasty, well cooked and great value. The scotch fillet was perfectly cooked. The calamari was spiced beautifully.
Great job to all. We wish the new owners much success. The young man representing the new owners (and family) is setting a great standard and was a pleasure to talk to.
See you next year when we visit Sandford again!

If you're after a drink or a meal, then don't hesitate to call into the Glenelg Inn. Recently under new management. The new owners are providing exactly what this town needs. They obviously have a vested interest in the people, providing friendly service 7 days a week. Jack, who was behind the bar, provided great service but, most importantly, was fully engaged with his customers and happy to have a chat. The menu is very reasonably priced, and we could not fault what we ordered. If you're in town, don't bother with the other option if it happens to be open. Make it the GLENELG INN.

Greeted with a big smile from one of the new owners Jack who showed us to our quaint room. Very neat and tidy with an electric blanket ready for our 3• night.
Once settled we made our way into the public bar were we met some of the locals and a few others passing through. Steak and Vege for dinner was cooked to perfection and a Gluten Free sauce to cover was delicious.
If your looking for great pub food or a bed, this is the place to be.

after years of coming to casterton, we now have a pub to patronise. Went there yesterday for a beer and stayed for dinner. We felt so welcome, the service and food are great. We've only ever experienced the horrendous service of the Middle pub, which we went to once and well never go to again.
We're here for a week and will certainly be back to experience the fantastic service from Jack.
Well Done new owners, you know what you're doing and how to run a small town pub for the locals and visitors

The steak was brilliant. Best piece of scotch in a long time. My 13yo son also said the calamari was 5 stars. Definitely be back. Just make sure you book if it’s a busy weekend and get there on time for your sitting (photo was taken halfway through, doesn’t do it justice and it was me that made it so messy because it was good!).
