Exceptional! The staff were friendly, hospitable and efficient. The ambiance was pleasant and not too noisy even though it was busy and the main meal was hot and fresh. The dessert was overwhelmingly large and enjoyable. The duty manager was present and carefully monitoring the customer experience. There’s also a playground for kids.

A nice clean and friendly place, let down by the food on offer during weekday lunches.

On our first visit (a Friday) we were disappointed to find no bistro and the buffet only open on the weekend for lunch. The Sports bar menu was reasonably dotted with the usual pub fare of Parma, fish and chips, lasagna, etc, but was lacking in vegan, vegetarian, and food allergy options. The meals were well portioned and presented, but were disappointing to eat with tough steak and greasy fish. We both felt queasy in the afternoon. Please note: the salad and vegetables were fresh, but the meat, fish, and chips felt as though they were pre-processed. Maybe other meals would have been better. We will try the buffet one night and I will edit this review to suit.

Otherwise, the surroundings were fine, the service pleasant, and the clientele seemed happy, although few in number and quiet for a Friday. Tap bears were limited. There is a well appointed gaming room, and clean and well maintained facilities. There is plenty of on-site parking, although the exit to the main road is a little difficult to navigate when busy. I would suggest using the side road to enter/exit.

I honestly want to like Castello's as it really seems like a nice place. I look forward to a better experience next time, so I can adjust this review.

We enjoy going to this pub because the meals are really nice, well presented and the prices are comparable to other places in the area. The staff are all welcoming and friendly and they all seem to enjoy working there.
On the downside there is an aroma in the main dining area that is really strong and triggers my asthma - at first I thought it was somebody’s perfume but it is there every time, it’s off putting but the food and the service keep us coming back.

The pub offers fantastic food in a warm, relaxed setting. The menu features classic pub favorites with a gourmet twist, from perfectly cooked burgers to crispy fish and chips. Each dish is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and served in generous portions. We had a great time and really enjoyed the cozy, inviting atmosphere – perfect for unwinding with friends or family. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the experience. Whether you’re after a quick bite or a hearty meal, the pub food at Costelos Hotel is a must-try. Highly recommended!

I wasn’t impressed with my meal neither was my brother and sister in law! My lamb shank was quite stringy and dry and I didn’t like the sauce it came in, my brothers Rogan Josh was very dry which they did replace with a different dish and my sister in laws spinach ravioli was quiet a small portion and she said it wasn’t great! The service is exceptional though!

l was celebrating a birthday 🎂 from my wife's sisters who turned another older ,and here are a couple of photos from dinner ,a steak chips and salad $42 a bit expensive for me ,The hamburger was delicious as l was told but the platter was delicious but the pork belly bites weren't seasoned and fatty

Once again problems when ordering our food, till not picking up discount or gift voucher, had to stand and wait until manager was available.

Quality of food has deteriorated since changes to loyalty program, pokies no longer return a good percentage of monies gambled
Staff not trained properly to understand the system

We used to promote this venue for their food and service but not anymore and will not be going back

The open lamb souvlaki was great. However, the wait time for some dishes was quite long, with certain items taking an extra 20 minutes to arrive.
