A great example of looks can be deceiving.. the staff were very friendly, inside the dining areas & beer garden were really nice, a nice country pub vibe but the meals were far better than the average country pub offering. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Friends had booked a table at this venue as its their local. Food was AMAZING. I had the rolled pork belly and on a cold autumn evening it was perfect.
The larger dining area has a lovely open space with a wood heater and some funky artwork. It's nice. It's worth having a meal if you're travelling through the area.

When we first arrived I won’t lie, it was intimidating… 6.30pm on a Friday night and there were 20 men out front smoking and drinking… I thought, oh no! We’ve made a mistake. But once inside the pub is brilliant in every way.
Kids were comfortable and played, good was terrific and the prices reasonable.
We will be back for sure!

Cracker country pub! Had a late lunch here today because practically everywhere in Bendigo was closed and man, what a blessing 🙏🏻 We both got burgers, and for me, it was probably one of the best pub burgers I’ve had in a very long time (ever?)🍔 The beef was so fresh and juicy, heaps of lettuce and thick cut tomato giving a rich crunch to each bite. There was just the right amount of bacon and sauce, it held up absolutely perfectly right to the last bite, will be telling stories about this one for a while 😋The service was warm and friends and the vibes high for mid afternoon 🤙🏻

11/10 FOOD…. Top Resturant quality at pub meal prices.
We ate from the NEW MENU, our visit was July 26th 2023.
Entree -shared Chicken Katsu Sliders 2 per serving, it was very generous in size. Delicious!
I had an Entree for Main - Pulled Beef
Cheek ( melt in the mouth) on sourdough (genuine sourdough) with a topping of fried onions & parsley, another generous entree size serve, loved it.
He had a Main - Pork Belly, cant begin to say how incredible this was, super juicy meat surrounded in a cracking crackling, served with whole baby carrots & greens, sensational meal.
The staff were wonderful, the owner check in with us and the lovely lady working at the bar chatted to us after we told her how we are foodies and the meals were truly delicious. The chef was generous with information how he cooked the pork.
Great wine list too, LOVED IT ALL!
Just wish we weren’t just passing through as I’d go back again & again.

Mad props to Molly - I'm from Melbourne and my 5 year old son wanted to say - I love you your the best thank you. She was so attentive to him from the minute we walked in; I'd woken him from a sleep and she made him so welcome and happy and gifted him an ambulance toy that he just adores. The food was also wonderful but the service was great
