I would not describe myself as a gourmet diner. However, in saying that I definitely know what I do and do not like. I like simple food cooked the best that it can be. This is what I found and received at the White Horse Hotel on Eaglehawk Road California Gully. Along with my order for the steak, I told the friendly staff how I would like my steak cooked. Chef Brad cooked my steak to perfection. I was so impressed; I tracked him and his team down in the kitchen to let them know how much I enjoyed the meal. Well-done Chef Brad and the team at the White Horse Hotel!!! I enjoyed my 5 star meal so here is 5 stars for you. Greg

Rocked up at 7:30 on a Friday and was told the kitchen was closed when we had a group booking and they were still bringing meals out at 8:30, for the other people on our group booking table. The lady behind the bar was so rude..... No wonder I haven't been here before and definitely won't be coming back. Drinks over priced and pretty poor atmosphere. Definitely don't recommend

The dirty bird burgers taste amazing. The beer is cold. Great place to drop in and relax while dinner is cooked. Eat and then go! No dishes. A good local.

Great atmosphere! Great friendly service! As I've just moved to the area, I will definitely be going back! Great selection of beers on tap! Thee beer was cold and fresh and I had a Marvelous pint of Guinness, yep I'm going to be a regular here!!

Next I need to eat my way through their menu!!!!

Pleasantly surprised by just how good this country pub grub is. Staff were lovely (and so chill, but thats the vibe and we liked it) and the food was absolutely amazing. Parma was perfect, chips were delicious, lamb roast was unreal and overall I'd like to move to this area JUST for the food at this pub. Yummo!!!

While we’re all stuck in lockdown, my wife and I were craving a good pub meal. After trying a few local spots around town, we gave the white horse a go. So glad we did! They have the absolute best take away porterhouse I’ve tried and the Parmas are also excellent. The best thing is the food is always consistent! Every time we order we get beautiful hot, fresh meals.. served by super friendly staff who seem to always remember my name (even with a face mask on!)

5 stars! Keep up the good work guys.
