I thought quite a lot about writing this review and while I don’t get any enjoyment from tearing down a small business, if I can spare even one person from the profound disappointment I felt from using this company for my decor, then it’s worth writing something.
Originally the owner of the company was very responsive and friendly and was happy for me to change my mind heaps of times before landing on a certain design. I told her exactly what I wanted and sent photos asking to her copy it exactly. She told me she could absolutely copy the design if not make it even better. I put my faith into her to help my dreams for my wedding come true. Leading up to the day, I hadn’t seen anything about the flowers so I asked for pictures. She hadn’t done them yet but was working on my welcome board (which was definitely not the same as I asked for but it was pretty close) so I won’t complain about that. Finally she sent me a photo of the floral arrangements she had made. I was out at my rehearsal dinner so I was not looking at my phone. When I pulled my phone out briefly, I saw the arrangements and I felt instantly sick to my stomach. They don’t even resemble the photos I had sent. I asked if she could make them look more like the photos, to which she replied, she was already on her way and no changes could be made. (She did not start working on the design until the evening before my wedding and didn't send me pictures until she was leaving the house) know I know why. When they arrived, they looked 1000 times worse than they did in the photos. They were the colour of whiteout and hanging of the metal frame in big lumps. She put absolutely ZERO effort into the design and it was obvious. We ended up not using the pillars as they looked so horrible we couldn’t bare to get married in front of them. I’m not sure if she had over committed herself and didn’t have time to put any effort into one of her clients design and mine just happened to be the one that she abandoned or if she really has no eye for detail but either way, going through this business was the biggest disappointment and regret of my entire wedding. I’d like to say the horror ended there, however it did not. She was supposed to pick up the designs at 5pm that evening. She messaged asking if she could pick them up the next morning. I said yes, but it has to be before 9am. 9AM was very clearly stated in the message. She didn’t show. When I messaged her if she was close because we needed to check out of our Airbnb, she said that she thought I meant 9pm. She asked if we could extend the Airbnb checkout time for her! And then asked if I could drop them off. She said I could just leave them under cover and she would pick them up when she could. I tried to explain that we could not leave anything on the premises as we would then be fined from Airbnb for leaving items behind. Dealing with this business was the most stressful part of our wedding. Finally I agreed to drive them an hour and a half out of our way if she would reimburse me the $180 delivery fee. She said she would give us $90 back and I said I’d have to leave them off the property for her to pick up. As we were heading the the opposite direction, the day after our wedding, it was completely unfair for her to put that pressure on us. She changed her mind and agreed to reimburse us the travel fee. My partner was able to drop them off and thankfully I’ve learned my lesson when it comes to booking services through instagram. If I could go back in time, I would have gladly paid more money to a reputable, honest company. Save yourself the disappointment and find someone who really cares about giving you what you ask and pay for.
