If you’re exploring the Ballarat area then a visit to Buninyong won’t go amiss. It’s a 15min drive South of Ballarat. Visit Espresso Depot for a good coffee or in my case a mug of hot chocolate. Have a chat with Carissa and Mikaela and enjoy the comings and goings of this friendly cafe.

Fantastic food, service and chai! The corn fritters were incredible (in my top 10 breakfasts ever) and so were the bacon and eggs. Very friendly and welcoming staff. All round great experience.

I really enjoy going here on a nice day. Food is decent and lots of sweets to choose from. And most the staff are friendly, I can’t help but notice one staff member who is extremely rude and not whiling to help customers with requests or even help other staff when they ask for help. She always gives me and others the most awful look and she is just all round awful. Seems as though she is NOT a people person. So I don’t think working in hospitality is for her…I have avoided coming here for a while simply because how awful I find this one staff member. I believe I overheard her name is Kayla. And she is usually behind the coffee machine. Besides her putting me off going at times the place is really nice. On a sunny day it’s lovely for people to bring there dogs and sit out in the sun.☀️

25.5.23 When the four of us arrived for breakfast, we were surprised to find very few choices on the menu. I decided on a toasty as did my friend. Hers was significantly smaller than mine, but the breakfast wraps were consistent in size and we all commented that our meals were very tasty. My extra hot "90 degrees, burn the roof of my mouth" hot chocolate was hot, but not extra hot. Coffees were good.

Extremely delicious food, even my extremely fussy son left no crumbs of his croissant behind. Lovely accommodating staff. Very nice atmosphere. Delicious drinks.
