We stayed here today and had a lovely time. The place is quiet with very clean rooms, and the helpful manager let us check in early. There's a pool tucked away at the back of the property which I had all to myself on a hot day. Behind the motel is a reserve with lovely bushland walks next to the Gardiner Creek.

We stayed 4 days to visit family in hospital. For an old motel, the room was very clean which is what we specifically booked it for. Jeanie was so friendly and a great host.

Even though it’s on a busy road, we heard no street noise which was a pleasant surprise. Beds were comfy and room heated up quickly with the heater. Even had good wifi.

There’s a park with walking tracks next door which was really nice to get out and around.

Only annoyance and not even complaint would be the hot water being difficult particularly when showering. It was manageable though.

Excellent value for money,
The people are very accommodating.
If you're lucky you will meet a sweet doggo at the reception named Rip.
There was ample milk and beverage options provided.
The location is convenient.
If you are planning to move to Deakin and need a temporary place of stay look no further. Best motel.

Box Hill Motel is the best motel we have ever used in New Zealand and Australia as we have travelled to many places. We've stayed in this motel for a couple of times now. The rooms are cozy, clean and very quiet. Both managers (Carol & Jen) are very friendly, genuine and welcoming. Other staff members work hard to maintain the rooms to the highest standard. They certainly make us feel at home!

Needed a late check-in, Jeanne was very obliging. Emailed Instructions were clear and she followed up with a phone call on the day. Arrived to find the heater on, room was clean and bed comfortable. Rooms are quiet despite being on busy road. Thanks very much.

Stayed here for a week The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Very simple yet having a small kitchenette meant we could save time and money.
The pool was great on a few hot days and the reserve was close by to take a walk in nature.

I stayed here recently with my family, in readiness of relocating them to another State. This was the perfect spot for us (around the corner for the unit we were moving out of) and although the Motel itself is a little dated we weren't there for the decor. The bedding was comfortable and it is the first Motel I have ever stayed in where they provided more than enough towels, blankets and extra pillows if needed. It is a peaceful location off the street and bordering parks/reserve so the sounds of nature and the quiet we found relaxing to come back to after being busy packing and cleaning our home for its settlement. The Manager was beyond helpful, was kind and friendly, and nothing and I mean nothing was too much trouble - they were just so accommodating. We had a family unit which provided us with a kitchenette to be able to prepare meals etc and came with 2 small fridges (a bonus) too.

There is also a laundry on site, and a clothesline (complimentary) to be able to get your washing done.

We all commented on ease of ground level access to the Motel unit, without having to navigate steps (which is helpful if you have older people with you) and that we would all come and stay again at the drop of a hat.

Thank you Box Hill Motel you made our last few days in Melbourne enjoyable and easy and we have no hesitation in highly recommending you.
