Highly recommend Vasey RSL Brighton East. My dad was very well cared for by thoughtful, kind, dedicated and caring staff who worked tirelessly to ensure his comfort and happiness. Lots of options for activities for those that choose to participate such as bus trips, bingo, choir and many others. Very nice food provided too and amenities always clean and well maintained. Overall my dad had the best care possible in the final 2 years of his life and we are so grateful.

My Dad was a resident in Vasey RSL Care Brighton East (kamesburgh unit) for 2 years.
He was shown respect, kindness and received excellent care by all the staff.

My Mum has been a resident of Vasey for about 6 years and the commitment from most staff has been wonderful. However my complaint/query here today is that there seems to be a total lack of activities such as craft days, game days, acknowledgement of special 'dress up' days i.e Grand Final, Melbourne Cup, St. Patrick's Day, International Women's Day, Valentines Day, Pancake Day, Chinese New Year and so on. With Easter just around the corner I was curious to inquire if anything would be done to celebrate Easter. These days would be a great way for the residents to participate and enjoy something a little different to their normal days. Unfortunately East Brighton doesn't seem to do a great deal of activities to benefit the residents unlike Bundoora and South Frankston. Outside entertainers are bought in for singalongs, which are good but I would think more activities where residents participate would be of great benefit to them. A reply to my post would be appreciated as I'd like to know if this will be improved in future or is it to be the norm.

Mum has been there now for 5 years and my family and I are very happy with the care and committment of the staff. And, the best testimonial I can give is that Mum is happy there. The meals are varied, nutritious, well-cooked and hot. Rooms and the 'common areas' are clean - the atmosphere when you walk inside the building is bright and calm. If you are looking for a caring environment for a loved one, you could not really go past this place.
