Mathew was recommended to me when I was looking to upgrade my car as it was my first experience looking for, finding a vehicle and then negotiating a deal.

As I'm in the country, Mathew guided me through the car buying process - what to be mindful of with the car (make & model) I was looking at, how to book a pre-purchase inspection, etc. Mathew also checked the listings of cars I'd short listed and gave me helpful tips on negotiating the price.

This support prepared me and I felt incredibly confident to talk to the dealer and negotiate a price. The dealer knew I'd done my research, and the negotiations chat was easy.

Mathew & son Ben are super professional, great guys and Subaru enthusiasts. Initially Mathew & Ben supported & performed my Pre-purchase inspection for a 2015 Subaru WRX STI while I was in Quarantine in Sydney after repatriating from the United States. The car was not perfect, but with Mathew & Ben's experience I completed the purchase with confidence that I could bring the car up to my requirements with a budget in mind. Following the purchase, we completed a full major service, put in all new brakes, put in an air-oil separator, replaced the battery, made repairs to the external mirrors and finished with a full detail. The car looked and drove like new. As an added bonus I had a great time looking at the photographs Mathew & Ben sent to me while locked down and enjoyed chatting about options to improve the car. Their customer support and experience really helped my decisions to get the car just right for my requirements. I will definitely be a returning customer for all future service needs as well as my planned suspension improvements.

Highly recommend Mathew's mechanic services. Great bloke who really cares about his customers. I had a bad experience with some dodgy inner Northside mechanics when my car had an unusual problem. Mathew took the time to properly diagnose the issue and got the car fixed up and driving great again. I've been coming back ever since and my old car has now done about 4 road trips from Melbourne to Brisbane and back. There's no one in Melbourne I'd trust more to service my vehicle.
