Absolute delight shopping at this new Coles! The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the supermarket looks fabulous and modern! The community must be so happy to finally have a supermarket close by! Perhaps a petrol station will be built soon on the other side?

Recently visited Botanic Ridge to view the new playground. The children loved the pirate ship. There is also plenty of space for them to run around.

Though I use this shopping centre infrequently the addition of the MacDonald's has created an obvious increase in the amount of rubbish by the side of the local roads. Craig Rd heading north from the shopping centre in particular has become a dumping ground for Maccas bags, drink containers and chip boxes. Before this take away store opened it was rare to see rubbish other than the occasional item blown away from the council bins being emptied. The other existing food stores, On the Hook (Fish and Chippery) and the Pizza shop never contributed to this roadside blight.
As for the rest of the centre: Tom Lane Pharmacy is wonderful and the staff, especially Josh the pharmacist are helpful and polite. The Coles.....well it's a Coles and as there is no competition nearby it is one of the more expensive grocery stores I've ever used. The aforementioned 'On the Hook' makes top shelf food and the owner Tony is a great bloke. The Pizza joint also turns out great quality food and both these take away venues are good value.
The Medical Centre, hidden around the back, has a very competent dentist with smiling reception staff and well appointed doctors office. These shops would've been better served with a petrol station rather than another 'Golden Arches' take away venue.
The major gripe I have with this centre is that the carpark lighting remains on ALL NIGHT! This is a massive light polluter in an area which used to be better suited for stargazing before this enormous amount of outdoor lighting was installed. Surely it would be cheaper, a cost saving, to Coles and other tenants if these lights were off during hours when the centre is not operating. I know the locals whose windows face the centre would appreciate the lights being turned off at night. All of those two storey apartment style dwellings must have double or triple layered blinds to block all that wasted, unwanted glare.
I've not used the other business in this centre but the barber looks like it needs to hire a hair sweeper as their floor looks like a Wookie fell over drunk and hasn't been revived. Honestly, I can't understand how the tobacconist is allowed to sell children's toys. It's illegal for anyone underaged to enter their establishment and there is a primary school within 100m of the store.
One last thing....please, if you drive to this shopping centre, follow the signs. Please don't drive out of the carpark against the signs as traffic heading north on Craig rd from the Browns Rd roundabout fly up the rise. The last thing anyone wants is a fatality due to someone thinking they'll save a few seconds driving out of a carpark entrance.
