I recently completed my open water certification with Scuba Culture. I had such a good time. The instructors were fabulous (Thanks Amy and DB), they took time to help us through any challenges we had, and made the whole process really enjoyable. I cannot recommend Xavier and the team at Scuba Culture highly enough. Great place, great people !

I rang Xavier on Friday morning and ordered a new Halcyon infinity bcd. He had it shipped to me in Sydney, and I was diving in it on Wednesday morning. Being a commercial operator having things delivered in a timely manner is super important. Xavier knew exactly what he was talking about and was able to answer all my questions. Most importantly scuba culture came in $300 cheaper than their nearest priced competitor. Will definitely be my first stop for equipment from now on.

Further to my previous review about Xav helping me get my drysuit fixed under warranty. I recently had my Shearwater Perdix flood due to one of the buttons coming loose and I didn't realise as was in its silicon case. Xav spoke with Shearwater and they have replaced my computer even though not under warranty as they want to learn more about what went wrong. I cannot speak more highly of the service Xav and Shearwater have given me. Thanks again.

I recently had a problem with a custom drysuit with a leaking foot. The manufacturer initially told me that it was not a warranty item given it was in the boot. It was in the seams between the boot and the sole so not something I stepped on to create a hole. Anyway Xav went into bat for me and now have a fixed suit under warranty.

Amazing after service!

I have just come back from a fabulous Fiji dive trip with Scuba culture.

One week before departure as I did my final equipment checks, I realised I had a failure in my dive computer (stuck buttons - from encrusted salt; software freeze) - a 7 year old Scubapro G2 that I hadn't used for 18m.

This meant I was worried about having my trusty computer with me. I took the computer in to Scuba Culture, and Xav was able to fix it! Brilliant.

I later got home, and was further charging the G2, when it experienced a software freeze. Xav then put me on to the Scubapro expert who after trouble shooting on the phone, said he'd have a go at fixing it. I sent the G2 by express post, and got it back 24 hours later, fixed and with 2 days to spare before departure.

10 stars to Scuba Culture for its service, and 10 stars to Scubapro for the fast turnaround (I suspect they were also looking after Scuba Culture's customers too). Previously I had an aqualung dive watch (I think). To replace the battery, it had to be sent to Malaysia. It took weeks.

I also have friends who have bought other brands through Scuba Culture and have enjoyed similarly strong after-service thanks to Scuba Culture's strong supplier relationships...

The learnings?
There's a lot to be said for buying local, and buying something where you can be confident of the after service. I'll definitely continue to buy my dive gear from Scuba Culture.

The team at Scuba Culture are absolute professionals. I recently purchased a Scubapro setup (Boyancy vest, first and second stage regulators, dive computer and wetsuit) and the knowledge, passion and pricing easily the best in Melbourne. Living in Alice Springs the past 2 years had my equipment in serious need of service. I have dives booked here and in Perth and really wanted to make sure I'd be safe using the equipment that haven't touched water in an eternity. Unfortunately, all my equipment is American...Xavier still did everything he could for my equipment. He did all the tests that he could without parts and even hooked me up with contacts in Perth who probably will.
I can't say enough wonderful things. Xavier described himself as "pendantic" which, to me, is a stellar thing for anyone who works with equipment that is meant to keep me alive.
I also have to say that Xavier would have told me all of this over the phone if I did not first call on their day off and then have my gear lost on the plane so I wasn't able to tell him which brands I owned (yes I should know). Still very glad I drove in for the testing he did. Absolutely worth the piece of mind.
I chose Scuba Culture because of the reviews. Happy to share another.
