Love this place. Its really cool. You can see the cows being milked and see the milk being packaged aswell through a large window in the cafe.

They use and sell a lot of their own products. There's a little grocery shop in the Cafe area.

The food was good. Our Scones were forgotten about but after reminding the staff they were brought out promptly.

The grounds themselves are lovely to explore. Vast array of farm animals to pet and say hello to. Chickens, rabbits, ducks, goats and cows of course.

You can feed the goats with pellets provided in a bin next to the fence. They pop their heads through so you can get some nice snaps with them.

Definitely worth a trip down. Apparently they have events here occasionally too, there are pamphlets and timetables to see what's on.

Love this place! We had a delicious lunch (calamari salad, veggie quiche & mixed berry smoothie) and lots of yummy takeaways: sausage roll, pie, pickled mushrooms, ice cream. All great! Well worth a stop in on your way past. Also good for kids as they have a small animal farm, including highland cattle.

This farm is great in that you don’t have to pay anything to check it out. The beautiful grounds and animals (baby animals, cows, deer, geese, alpacas, etc.) are available if you just want to walk in. And every afternoon at 2:30pm, they milk the cows and you can watch for free from the upper viewing room. That being said, while it is free, the burger was good and the ice cream was great, so I would recommend checking those out while you’re there, along with their gift shop of cute trinkets and lots of farm made goods (milk, cheese, butter, etc.). Plus it’s dog friendly, so feel free to bring your pup to the grounds. Happy visiting!

I like this place and would visit again on the way up to Philip Island.

The food is simple and affordable. Obviously not mind-blowing stuff but it gets the job done, ideal breakfast joint. They have a nice selection of sandwiches in the window, as well as your typical breakfast meals on the menu.

The menu would certainly appeal to kids, and I like the little market section attached to the cafè where you can buy some of the products made in and around the area. The ice cream that came with our pancakes was so rich and tasty, so definitely opt in for a cone or even a milkshake while you’re there.

Love the farm there. The baby goats are adorable, and I enjoyed seeing the deer, ducks, alpacas, roosters, and sheep too. We went when it was quiet, so it was really nice to have a wander.

I recommend this as a pit stop when heading down. I would like to try more things when I visit again, as I don’t think I got the full Caldermeade experience, and I would like to see if there’s some food that’ll really blow my socks off! (:

The farm was cute. Animals look so happy. We loved seeing the cows being milked. But let me tell you about the food at the Cafe! The sizes of the dishes are huge and the prices reasonable. Everything was delicious. They had shakes, smoothies, coffee, ice cream, scones and just about anything you could want. There was also such a huge selection of foods you could take home. We will be going back.

We stopped in for a coffee on our way to Venus Bay, on Christmas Eve. So lovely that we could bring our dog in too. She met goats and chickens!

Being lactose intolerant I was pleased that actually had lactose free milk too. Coffees were great and served quickly.

We visited this farm expecting a fun and authentic experience, but unfortunately, it fell short in several ways. First, the prices were way too high for what was offered- $35 for a ploughmans & a 10% surcharge and this is what we received. We paid a premium, only to receive tiny portions of cheese that felt more like samples.

On top of that, the staff were quite rude and unwelcoming, which really put a damper on the visit. We had hoped for a warm and friendly atmosphere, but instead, we felt like an inconvenience just for being there. I could let the prices and food issue go if the staff were nice but the rudeness really put the cherry on top.

Really quite upset especially after visiting Bassine Specialty Cheeses and Macca Farm who were so lovely.
