I'm going to be honest which is what reviews are for. Solid 4/5 stars. Would have earned 5/5 if food was a tiny bit better. But good atmosphere, beer was cold, great service. Food was alright. Tried a variety of dishes over the couple nights I went there. Hit or miss

A historic old pub with friendly staff.
Dinner: My wife loved her "Loaded salad with Chicken".
I felt like a steak, but the only option was 350g! ... great value for money, but far too big for me, so I settled for Fried Vegetables with rice ... sorry, but it was terrible - very gluggy rice with very few vegetables (mainly beans).
If you are a big eater who is able to eat schnitzels and chips, etc then this pub would be great.
Also, there is nothing else open Sunday and Monday nights.

Had a Steak there last night . I think the best steak i have ever had . Chips and salad where also amazing . Totally unexpected

From the outside this cute outback pub has potential for a great meal & classic Australian pub feel - wrong! Absolutely no atmosphere! Patron & other staff not friendly at all. Felt very unwelcomed. No music or chit chat, just the sound of the fridges running. Patron just took our order & that's was all.|We ordered curry of the day & a chicken burger for lunch. Burger arrived first & when I had finished my meal the curry arrived for my husband which had no flavour at all. The pub has clearly been taken over by new owners that have no idea or no experience in the pub scene. What a shame as it has so much potential. Good luck to the next owners.

Stopped at the hotel for lunch and a place to stay while riding the Mawson Trail. Friendly bartender. Burger with the lot was definitely a lot, great value and delicious. Rooms a bit dated but had everything we needed. Would recommend.

Literally the worst service I've ever experienced. We booked for 6pm, they forgot my meal, the male staff took phone calls for orders in front of waiting customers who were lining up for quite some time for basic service. He did not process orders correctly ,despite the order being read back total mess , staff do not serve you for drinks and tell you to wait while they go to other parts of the bar. DO NOT GO TO THIS RUN DOWN JOKE OF A BUSINESS. I must say two older ladies did try to make things rights but even after knowing about the error it was almost another hour for a simple schnitzel. While waiting I heard many other customers complaining , never again, shame as it used to be a descent place to visit in the little town

We stopped here for lunch yesterday. I ordered the beef burger and I have to say it was the best burger I’ve ever had. The patty was moist and delicious but best of all the salad in the burger which included cucumber was so fresh. Hubby had the chicken parma with chips, salad and mushroom gravy. Huge serving with really fresh salad and lots of gravy. Would definitely eat there again!
