WOW highly recommend Willow springs as a station stay. We have a private campsite with portable toilet. This is the cleanup ever. We completed the Skytrek 4WD today which took about 6 1/2 hours to do 80ls. The views and wildlife was fantastic.

We had a fantastic experience at Skytrek Willow Springs! This is a charming, family-run campsite with great infrastructure. Michelle gave us such a warm welcome and went out of her way to explain the best routes for our journey. Her tips were incredibly helpful and made our trip planning so much easier. We couldn’t have asked for better hospitality! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-organized and friendly camping spot.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Peace and quiet. 4wd track was excellent and abit gnarly towards the end. I had birds landing on me at breakfast to be hand fed some crumbs. The wife was happy for the WiFi. Thanks to the fire pit I was able to crissen my campoven. Overall a fantastic stay, will be back and will be spreading g the word. Than,s so much willow springs.

Skytrek is an 80km long self drive/guide track through some of South Australia’s most spectacular arid and hard country side. Designed to give participants and their vehicles a reasonably challenging 4x4 trek through spectacular gorges and dry river beds lined with beautiful Red Gums to sparsely vegetated plains and stunning ancient scorched hills, all part of the Flinders Ranges. You start and finish at the WillowSprings Station homestead and receive detailed trek notes and guide that includes a lot of interesting information and history to get you immersed in your journey and help pass the hours. They recommend you allow 8 hours but we took 6 and a half.
You will see many of the iconic animals of inland Australia. My wife and I were a little hesitant at the price but after completing the entire Skytrek we were happy to have done it and have a newfound respect for our vehicles 4x4 capability. Roughly the last third of Skytrek is suitable only for 4x4 capable vehicles and the other two thirds would suit most SUV’s

We stayed at campsite 3 on the 8/9/24 and arrived late. We were met with great friendly service despite our late arrival. Facilities are great and staff are informative. A lot of thought went into the campgrounds, for example there was a storm water trench dug to stop water running off the hill and flooding the campsite. A lot of care used with maintaining the campsite, clean grill and bench. Even the ground has been raked! Didn't have time todo the Skytrek so Willow Springs will be our first stop when returning to the Flinders Ranges.

Had a great Homestead camping stay. Very secluded site with a porta loo and showers available at homestead. The sky trek self drive tour was awesome. We thought we'd knock it off in a couple of hours but it took 7hrs as described with great information booklet to explain what we were seeing along the way. Highly recommend for anyone who likes an adventure 4wd camping holiday.

Willow Springs camping and sky trek were the highlight of our flinders range trip.

The unpowered camp sites were each about 50 meters apart and each campsite was large enough for several tents and vehicles - and each had a spotlessly clean portaloo.

The sky trek experience was fantastic! You do need to be an experienced 4 wheel driver with a real 4 wheel drive car to do it. They give you several pages of information about the history and geological features and interesting spots on the trip.
