We went twice in our week long stay in Adelaide and the brunette guy that served us (didn’t get his name unfortunately!) was absolutely amazing, he really looked after us both times we came. The food was well priced and everything we tasted was really great, including the chef specials. Couldn’t fault anything 🙂

In my opinion, five stars alone do not do justice to The Maid. Not only are the staff always friendly, and quickly note your regularity, but the different meal deals they do take what is a great menu and make it unbelievably amazing. Case in point is their special steak deal currently running on Thursdays. Not only an amazing steak but also a very very very drinkable red wine for an unbelievable price. I come here as many Thursdays as I can, I bring my colleagues with me, and this is our local, even though it is a little drive from where we are based. I know this sounds over the top, this whole review, but I kid you not, this is as close as we get to the spirit of a generous community pub that some of us hold dear in our psyche. Thank you to the head chef, Juliana, and all the management and staff, for keeping this venue within budget and within the realms of warmth and authenticity that only can be achieved when there are good people behind-the-scenes. I’m now going to finish the last of my red wine in honour to everybody here.

The good:

The food. Fish and chips, burger, beef schnitzel, chicken schnitzel were ordered and all were delicious. Fish batter nice and crispy, chips were just nice, crispy and not overdone. Burger was moist and tasty. Garden salads all fresh and crisp.

The ambience. Excellent. Tables spaced far apart, quiet and not overcrowded. Service very welcoming and efficient.

The Bad:

Can't think of any. Maybe the absence of scotch fillet steak (they only have Porterhouse). For a steak lover, that's a big sin.

Oh, and the sticky date pudding did not come with ice cream. The teensy dollop of cream on top simply won't do. Also by the time the sticky date pudding arrived, my coffee had gone cold.

Went for dumpling degustation on Wednesday night Momoda. Booked in advance as it was busy. Were sat and served immediately. You get a lot of delicious food for $39pp plus drinks 🍸. Dumplings came out in four courses and were each very yummy. Especially the wagu dumplings. Service was excellent, and everything came out quickly.

Ordered beef schnitzel and chips the schnitzel was quite nice the chips were inedible covered in black spots looked like a chicken had done it's business all over them use to be a good quality meal but not anymore that's three bad meals in a row now would probably avoid if you are in the area plenty of better meals in the area it's a disgrace. as the photos show every single chip left over had a black spot on it some of them quite large disgusting. $28 for a small beef schnitzel and ten chips absolute disgrace

Food is fantastic in general, steaks are perfectly cooked, schnitzels are good size, and the super salad is awesome. Burgers are only worth it, if you get the burger-n-cider special.
The pumpkin gnocchi special today was a bit disappointing, as was expecting a bigger serving for the price paid.

Randomly stopped here for lunch a few weeks ago and absolutely loved this place. Great menu and prices, lovely layout and awesome staff esp Eloise and Harry! Multiple entrances to the big carpark as well. We've now been back several times and looking forward to trying everything on the menu 😃 Specials change regularly too!

The Maid hotel is a well-kept, fun bar with an amazing atmosphere. Got dinner and drinks in the main dining area and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food, service and drinks. The parmigiana was a perfect size, served as a fresh fillet with crunchy chips and a side salad. My two friends shared a Maid Plate and noted the freshness of the ingredients and synergy of the flavours. In addition to the fair pricing, they also had Adelaide’s own Ryley playing! What a treat! Would like to shout out Jason, Flinn, Will and Maddi and all the other bar staff for making the nigh so enjoyable.
