Brilliant service from Andrew at Burnside Flight Centre
He listened to our broad plans and locations, suggested plenty of options and then organised our overseas trip superbly.
Even changed our travel plans at the last minute without fuss.
From Milan to Cinque Terre in Italy, and then Paris, he found the right accommodation, restaurants and sights to see.

After previously dealing with Flight Centre for multiple overseas trips, I have to say the quality of service has decreased each time. This last experience ensures that I will not be returning to flight centre as a customer again. Andrew was super enthusiastic from the outset, however once we had paid for our flights he was MIA. Took forever to reply to email questions or simply ignored email correspondence, he failed to have documents ready for collection after organising a day to collect, was not contactable by phone, one key issue raised weeks before our flight was answered on the eve of departure outside of business hours (only after a second email was sent), again a key question raised mid trip was left unanswered. Going into the shop some issues were looked into by other staff members, however from a so called expert and team leader his follow up service is non-existent. A one star rating is being generous.

I understand business is busy, but to not be able to follow up on paid customer questions and queries portrays the business in a negative light. Clearly we are not the only customers who have experienced these issues.

I’ll join the chorus praising Elise. She has booked 3 trips for me over the past 12 months. The last one was trickier, both because I wanted something that wasn’t offered by the bigger companies, and there was doubt over my health. Elise found a small company that was able to arrange everything I wanted to see in Oman from the Persian Gulf to Salalah. She coped fantastically with my rushed booking in the end once I had medical clearance. I’m based in Melbourne but doing it all by email hasn’t been an issue. I’m looking forward to next year in northern Asia.

Was told I will receive my ticket refund from flight centre burnside within 4 to 6 weeks now they are saying it is 12 weeks, seriously 3 months is ridiculous to wait for a refund, also they stated it was the airlines but I contacted the airlines and it is not they havewithin policy 14 days they will give a refund. What is going on, has anyone else had this problem with flight centre? Heading to the ACCC if it doesn't arrive soon!

My partner and i dealt with Andrew at Burnside Flight centre for a 4 month overseas holiday. Initially he was amazing, super helpful with quick responses. As soon as we paid thousands of dollars to him, he began ignoring our multiple emails and not returning our calls. This was extremely frustrating as we wanted to book more things and had lots of questions. We contacted flight centre multiple times over a 4 week period and each time would get the same response "we will get someone to call you back"- they NEVER called back. My partner and i felt extremely frustrated by this as it was apparent that once they had our money, they couldn't care less about us. We eventually dealt with a lovely lady called Elise who was amazing and helped us with our final questions/organisation. The whole experience going through Flight Centre was terrible, and we will never book through them again.

If only all travel companies could be this efficient and accommodating!
Big shout out to Elise for her efficient and personable assistance with our forthcoming trip.
Planes, trains and accommodation were sorted seamlessly, taking all the hassle away from us.
Last minute changes were managed without fuss and I couldn't be happier with what Elise was able to put together for us and her management of our variable circumstances.

In planning a Europe trip, my husband and i have spoken to 5 people at this flight centre. The first 'customer service' person was one of the MOST rude and dismissive people i have ever come across (doing my best not to mention her specifically here). We had 2 meetings with her out of necessity in planning our trip and during the second meeting i had to keep my mouth shut the entire time to refrain from bringing myself down to her level. Since then, we have spoken to various team members, all promising to 'get back to us' etc only for our attempts to get answers to be ignored. I have been spoken over, spoken down to and just when we thought we found someone who understood the concept of 'customer service' we have been let down again with the excuse of 'we are busy'. I'm sure readers of this review will feel my sentiments when i say that we are ALL busy which makes the excuse i was given even worse. The disregard for our time and our financial commitment is shocking. My advice for those of you looking for a positive experience in planning your trip, go elsewhere.

Note: Responding to the generic flight centre response below, it is evident that you are missing the point yet again (don't you love the spin of 'it is difficult to respond to everyone immediately' as if that was our expectation and we are the unreasonable ones?! Meanwhile... 2 weeks later...still waiting). Delayed response is merely ONE of a MYRIAD of issues with the customer service received. What is the excuse for the dismissive attitudes we encountered? What is the reason for being spoken down to or spoken over? What about when your staff ask us to send them an email and at our appointment 2 weeks later, they say they haven't even opened it (is my time less valuable than theirs?). Is this the supposed 'value' we get when we are charged for the 'captains value package'? We have been patient and we have even given your team the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it was just one person at your centre. 5 people later, it is evident that customer service means something quite different to your team.
