We had an amazing tent camping experience under the stars in Kakadu National Park, with every detail taken care of by our fantastic guide, G.T. My family of 4 (with two kids, 6 &9), along with my parents, had a fabulous 4 day adventure viewing animals, learning about the people who have been on that land for 60,000 years, seeing stunning landscapes, hiking to remote waterfalls, and enjoying an incredible experience together.

G.T. was so easy to communicate with during the planning and really took care of everything. He was incredibly patient with the broad range of ages and hiking abilities of our party, cooked delicious meals over the camp fire, and thoughtfully snuck in a little birthday cake for my daughter that we enjoyed at a waterfall we hiked to.

With his 30+ years of experience guiding in the NT, I swear he knew everyone that we ran into in the park. We hope to visit again someday, and Charter North will be our go-to experts!

We just wanted to say a big thank you for organizing such an amazing small group 4WD camping trip through the Bungle Bungles and the Kimberley in early June 2024. The weather was perfect, the landscapes were stunning, and the crystal-clear water in the gorges and swimming holes was just breathtaking. Sleeping under the stars, mouthwatering campfire cooking, and immersing ourselves in nature made this journey truly unforgettable. Your extensive knowledge of the region's flora, fauna, and geology, as well as the historical aspects of the indigenous people and the early European conflicts, really added to our experience. This trip is highly recommended.

We, a family of five with three kids (12, 10 and 5) had an amazing 6 days trip to Kakadu, Nitmiluk and Litchfield with G.T. and Charter North a few weeks ago. The communication before the trip was great, and once we met G.T. and hopped in the car early the first day, we started a brilliant camping trip across the beautiful area around Darwin.

G.T. has years and years of experience guiding people in this area and it really shows: whenever we had a question, he could tell us all details about the nature and/or indigenous culture. He also showed us the most important cultural sites and explained the story behind the life of the indigenous population of Australia. G.T. also is a very careful driver, and our children were not car sick for the first time in a long time.

The campsites were well picked and varied between "full facilities" on one end and "no facilities" on the other. Especially the latter was an amazing experience as it felt like we were camping in the middle of nowhere with only stars above and nature around us. Sleeping in swags in dome-tents made it even more special.

Our three kids also really enjoyed the trip and G.T. made sure that we only took on as much walking as was suited for us. Unfortunately, one of the kids was not feeling well most of the trip, otherwise we would have been able to do some more challenging hikes.

The food was great, too, and both breakfast and dinner prepared lovingly on the camp fire. Every day we had a have a different healthy dinner (made from scratch on the open fire!) and it was always tasty. We had barramundi, jacket potatoes, salad and corn on the first night, stirfry the 2nd, pasta bolognese the 3rd, fried rice the 4th and lamb roast the 5th night. Lunch was healthy and filling too: sandwiches or wraps and lots of fruit and veggies. G.T. also continuously checked if we needed something else and made sure to remind us to drink enough water.
The kids loved the campfires and especially roasting marshmallows 😉

WA Kimberly Adventure Holiday - Thank you CHARTER NORTH!!
We had a fantastic holiday in the Kimberly in August 2024. Every day had a memorable & surprising highlight! We were challenged & rewarded with every activity & the many photo opportunities.
Thanks to our experienced guide we didn't have to worry about anything - just enjoyed the experiences & scenery. Our guide GT was a gifted storyteller, historian, expert on plants, wildlife, cultural sites, navigation of rough terrain & waterways as well as a fantastic mechanic & cook!
The itinerary was thoughtfully organised & well-paced. We particularly appreciated the flexibility this trip gave us. This meant that the itinerary could change to accommodate requests and needs.
We would happily recommend Charter North for anyone looking for the ultimate Australian adventure in the Northern Territory or Western Australia's Kimberly region.

We’ve just returned from an end of dry season 5 day trip to Lichfield, Nitmiluk and Kakadu with GT and Charter North. We had such an amazing time with GT, who ensured we had an incredibly memorable trip. He was super organised, incredibly knowledgable, cooked great food and had a great sense of humour (very much needed with two teenage boys in tow!). Highly recommend this trip with Charter North if you are considering it and if you are not familiar with the region it is absolutely worth the trip.

I can't recommend Charter North enough if you want to experience the Top End of the Northern Territory. I had the pleasure to spend 5 days with GT, who helped me to craft the perfect birthday trip for my mother. My mother and I are both very interested in indigenous art and history of the region so it was incredibly important for us to find a guide who was knowledgable and sensitive to the complexity of the indigenous history of NT. From the very second GT picked us up in Darwin, I knew we made the right decision with Charter North. GT came with everything we might need for an enjoyable five days in Kakadu and Nitmiluk. We had excellent conversations, beautiful hikes to waterfalls and rock art, super delicious and healthy food, and so many once in a lifetime experiences in those five days. I am already of dreaming of a return trip. GT, thank you for a trip of a lifetime!

Well what a trip, with my wife and 2 daughters (16&18) we spent 4 days with GT through the top end at the end of the wet season. It was like hanging out with a mate, brother and favorite uncle all rolled into one. I doubt you could find anyone with more knowledge or ability to roll with the punches when plans need to change due to weather etc. Accommodation and food was top notch, thoroughly recommend Charter North if you are thinking of a trip.

A superb adventure and 6 day trip with Charter North...through Kakadu....highly recommended....we had a great guide and chef ...Heath who made trip really interesting and showed and shared he best of Kakadu with us.....great camp sites ....awesome beauty and and unforgettable memories....
