If I could give them ZERO stars I would and here are the reasons why: Communication with Michele was horrible. We spoke to her originally back on August 5th and had a phone call with her on August 7th. We did not get a response with our contract until November 4th. In which she gave us a month to make the full payments (we never knew the total until this date, and by then all other companies were booked). This lack of communication is very unprofessional. During the cocktail hour, servers had to be told to replenish the cocktail hour area.
Guests left hungry and upset because they were not served full spoons of food. We provided the size spoons that would yield exactly the right amount of food for guests to be served, yet the servers only served half spoons for the guests. Many guests saw the servers serve themselves full plates of food while they only served the guests smaller portions.
The buffet was completely cleared before guests had a chance to return for seconds. We had plenty of food for all the guests to receive full portions. We ended up with many trays FULL of food left over at the end of the night because of the lack of serving the guests and because they decided to clear the buffet instead of serving the guests as they were being paid to do.
The servers FORGOT ME AND MY HUSBAND (THE BRIDE AND GROOM) when it came time for the toast. We had a bottle marked for the toast that was never brought to us and when the toast was about to begin, I had to stop everything so that someone could at least bring us some sparkling cider to fill our flutes! How do you forget the main people of the night?
When serving the cider to guests, one of the servers spilled the bottle on a guest and just walked away. Came back later to ask the guests wife if he was ok, but only after just walking away!
No one from the serving company knew how to cut a round cake. All of the slices were disproportionate and sloppily cut. Furthermore, the cake was never served to the guests, rather, it was cut and placed on the buffet table. A lot of guests left not knowing that there was cake because it wasn’t served!
Bartender. Hoarded the soda like it was theirs. Guests received a cup with ice and the bartender would pour a little soda and stay with the can. We had plenty of sodas for the guests to go back to their seats with the cups and cans.
Shots were served in the same manner. Shot glasses were only filled barely half way. We had plenty of liquor and shot glasses. The only reason I can see someone doing this is if they want people to keep coming back to the bar so they can get tips (I’ll talk about that later).
Guests had to grab their own water, soda can, beer from the little cooler area because the bartender went missing or would ignore them. This happened multiple times with multiple guests.
My husband and I (Groom and Bride) were completely ignored when we went to the bar. The bartender looked at us and turned away. We ended up having to grab our own waters.
Tips were automatically added to our contract, yet the bartender still had a tip jar out. I didn’t have a problem with this until I saw the lack of professionalism and laziness that the Orlando Serving Company showed. Michele was arguing with a guest because they had a bottle on their table (this was addressed and fixed by my day of coordinator). Michele was so worried about it being HER liquor license, yet her bartender was serving MINORS!!! That’s right, the bartender was caught serving a 16-year-old (not sure who else was served). They were never carded or questioned. Yet she’s so worried about other things! The parent of the teen wants her information so that he can speak to her about this. I will never recommend this company for anything as they overcharged us for a service that was unprofessional, lazy, and sloppy. Michele text my day of coordinator to try to talk me out of leaving a truthful review and said we simply made too much food which is incorrect. I am embarrassed at how the Orlando Party Servers treated my guests, the food, and us.
