Far away from sydney city by other transports but no more than 1 hour driving car, I felt worthy due to its cheap cost of entry and its activities. Good for kids and adults like us just had fun within a day enough to enjoy the nature and get rid of busy life. Buy the ticket directly near the gate, there are plenty of parking spaces inside. Staffs with clothes fit the period are enthusiastic, this town is not that big but shows how the locals used to live. It was a relaxing experience for me:)
tips: better to go in from 10am, if you wanna visit many events there, and tickets office close at 3pm.

What are great place for a family day out and witness some Australian history, with a mini train to take you for rides and acres of land filled with historical buildings you really feel like you're in the old days and with a restaurant to grab a bit and special event days like car shows it's definitely worth the trip out to see it.

However, the food options are quite limited, and they close early, which can be inconvenient. The quality of the food isn’t great either, and the service was disappointing during our visit - it felt rushed and not very welcoming.

Great family day out! So much history and wonderful volunteers running everything. Haven't been in around 30yrs, was great to take my kids back. It's like it's never changed.

The place was run by volunteers which they were friendly and nice. Entry is 10$ for each person included parking inside the village. Atmosphere was amazing, beautiful place for families and kids to visit. It’s less than a hour from Sydney. Really lovely place, fully recommend

Normally I don't like going to Museum but this place, Hands down the best museum! The staffs are very friendly and the place is fun with feeding animal and Tractor / train ride. Kids enjoy it. Recommended for family. A must go museum.
